In case you’ve missed it, the new Bosch series is out on Amazon.

there are 6 episodes available.

he is a private investigator and his daughter just joined the police.

the lawyer is on it as well.

same ‘feel’ as Bosch.

Oooh I'm on it.

EmotionalSupportOlive · 14/05/2022 19:21

What's Freevee?

YetAnotherNam · 14/05/2022 19:26

I think it’s the same as Amazon but with ads.

it’s not like channel 4 that keep showing ads all the time, I think you get like a 20 second one twice throughout the episode.

I've seen a couple and enjoying it, I can't believe his house is held up with posts 😯. I hated the Lincoln Lawyer on Netflix though. I gave up during the first episode. The acting is very ropey.

CutesyUserName · 14/05/2022 20:36

Great, thanks for the heads up. Just started watching. Loved Bosch and glad this has got at least two of the main characters.

Peradventure55 · 14/05/2022 20:42

Liked the Lincoln lawyer too, good storyline ,did not notice rhe ropey acting, though these things tend to wash over me.

Loving Bosch Legacy. I've not read all the books yet, is this new series based on any of them? Lincoln Lawyer is ok so far, I'll carry on watching the rest of them in all likelihood.

NotAnothetOne · 16/05/2022 17:36

I love Bosch, and am enjoying Bosch:Legacy....and I might even confess to having a wee crush on the main man!!😍

Orpheline · 17/05/2022 10:53

I miss the original Bosch music

InTheCludgie · 17/05/2022 19:00

@NotAnothetOne I have a little crush too! I wasn't sure about him at first as he didn't really fit with how I pictured Bosch but he's definitely grown on me.

@Orpheline the original music was fab, it really fit the gritty feel of the series. One intro that definitely wasn't skipped in this House!

BeaLola · 18/05/2022 01:16

We love this and loved Bosch original series.

I must admit Titus is well cast and easy on the eye (to a 50 +year old )

I like the way the relationship with his daughter has built .

The only other thing I have ever seen him in was The Good Wife .

InTheCludgie · 18/05/2022 07:23

This is the first series I've seen him in where he's been the lead actor, he was also in Lost, Sons of Anarchy, Touch and Deadwood but in supporting roles.

I wonder if Mickey will make an appearance in Bosch Legacy or Harry will show up in Lincoln Lawyer?!

EmotionalSupportOlive · 23/05/2022 18:21

I watched the first episode of Lincoln Lawyer today and thought for a minute he was living in Bosch's house.

Weird - we watched episode 7 whilst having lunch today &DH said exactly the sane re the house .

YetAnotherNam · 27/05/2022 22:24

Sort of Spoiler below

Just watched the last episode.

Seriously? We’ll have to wait a year now?

@YetAnotherNam I know! Talk about a cliffhanger!

InTheCludgie · 28/05/2022 09:49

Also, looking at the title of the episode (Always/All Ways), I noticed Titus Welliver has a tattoo on his arm which says the same thing. I wonder what the relevance is?

YetAnotherNam · 28/05/2022 10:01

@InTheCludgie , wow, so much attention to detail!

OP posts:
InTheCludgie · 28/05/2022 10:48

Haha not really, I like looking at people's tattoos and wondering about the meaning behind them, Bosch was sitting in a position a few episodes back where the tattoo was quite prominent and I remember looking at it.

greatblueheron · 28/05/2022 10:59

I was a huge fan of the original Bosch series and have also read the books.

I'm watching the new spin off series, a few episodes in, but I have to say I'm disappointed with it, it's like Budget Bosch to a degree. Especially the dialogue in it. They've clearly lost their best script writers. The plot lines aren't as smoothly intertwined and the conversations are stilted and poorly written and makes the acting look bad, even though that's not the issue. Honey is written all wrong; some of the things that she says it's completely out of character for her and just sounds wrong coming out of her mouth.

Music and loss of the fabulous house and views take something away from it, too.

Letsnotargue · 28/05/2022 11:47

We watched the first one last night, it was good but not as gripping as the original. I was glad that the house was still in it (temporarily it seems) and Coltrane of course. I do feel it’s missing the banter with him and his old police colleagues, and the music of course.

We’ll watch it, and will probably then go and watch Bosch from the start.

Cocolapew · 28/05/2022 12:23

I've watched 3 so far and tbh I'm not in a rush to watch the others, it seems so slow compared to the original Bosch.

NotAnothetOne · 28/05/2022 15:46

Have just finished episode 10.....felt the whole episode was hinting to the ending. That said I have really enjoyed this first series

Orpheline · 28/05/2022 17:51

I'm going to watch old Bosch, and the music. Can't believe the little band gave up the royalties. I only found Michael Kiwanuka because of Big Little Lies. and Ludovico Einaudi because of Untouchable.

YetAnotherNam · 21/10/2023 18:15

Season 2 came out yesterday.
i Think they’ll release 2 episodes each Friday.
spoiler below…

just to refresh everyone’s memory, there had been sexual assaults the daughter had been looking into and it ends with her being kidnapped in her house.
