DOCTORS- Patronising Princess is causing trouble at'Mill - and will we ever find out what happened to Dr Ashdown?

In answer to the question- probably not.

But I'm still hoping that we find out Princess was behind his disappearance. The episode with her mother pointed to a shady past.

And the drugs that Heston took were called Viper, i have remembered.
(Kept me awake, that did)

Oh they are re-showing the award winning episode tomorrow. Which was so good, we barely remember it Grin

There’s a video on the official Facebook page with Lucy Benjamin and Dido whatsername saying that it’s on tomorrow, and it seems that the storyline isn’t over yet because they’ve just been filming a follow up which they think will be on TV in September.

Raahh · 16/06/2022 14:37

That's interesting, Madision.

I'm getting confused by Doctors bothering with continuity. Grin

Raahh I had to listen back twice to make sure I’d heard properly 😂

Sidisawetlettuce · 16/06/2022 15:21

I haven't watched the last two episodes but thanks to your wonderful commentary I'm raring to go.

TooBigForMyBoots · 16/06/2022 15:44

Jeez, I was feeling pressured by Cat. Let's do it now. Let's do it layer. Let's do it this way. Let's do it never.😱

Is young people sex really that complicated these days?

IamupInSpaceMan · 16/06/2022 19:58

Raahh thank you so much for the song, my very own hound kept looking at me as I played it all the way through.
Simple things..

IamupInSpaceMan · 16/06/2022 20:01

Yes my username is based on UK Eurovision song.
My DH objected to going in and out of black holes 😂, that's scientifically impossible he said.

Raahh · 16/06/2022 20:06

Iam you're welcome. I always love Dogs in Hats GrinI tried to get my dog to listen to it- but I'd just bathed him (groomers tomorrow- bit like cleaning the house before a cleaner comes, I imagine Grin) so he was not talking to me

I love 'Spaceman' by Sam Ryder- - it genuinely is a great song, Eurovision or not- and he seems such a nice bloke.

I did like ýesterday's variant on social distancing not paying extras - Jimmy rented the whole restaurant !

smallandimperfectlyformed · 16/06/2022 22:37

Today's episode was even more rubbish than the flag episode. The only thing that was any good about it was the feeling that there is going to be a resolution to the Dr Ashdown drama and we find out about Princess. Wonder what she did that made her lucky to still be allowed to practise? Really didn't like how much bullying there was of Cathy in yesterday's episode. Was disappointed in Ruhma saying what she did considering the day before she had told her colleagues to be kinder. Also thought she was a bit of a hypocrite considering she was suspended after one of her patients made a complaint about her and the consultant- granted she wasn't actually having an affair but she knows what it's like to be talked about. Bear I can understand, his mum was left very ill because of Cathy's attitude when seeing her.

AnnieSnap · 16/06/2022 23:23

I hadn’t watched Doctor’s for years until I came across the Princess story line, then I was hooked. I do think it’s improved considerably since I used to watch it years ago. It has become my guilty pleasure. I record it now!

Nothing is impossible in Leatherbridge. Valerie taught me that.🙏

IamupInSpaceMan · 17/06/2022 08:20

"Nothing is impossible in Letherbridge. Valerie taught me that.🙏" Too Big you're right about that, you can even get to see a GP in person, on the same day. Now that is science fiction 😉

IamupInSpaceMan · 17/06/2022 08:22

Raahh I agree with you, both Sam Ryder and the song are brilliant.

IamupInSpaceMan · 17/06/2022 08:24

I have to type without seeing what's going on, is it my phone or the new Mumsnet set up? I can just see adverts and 2 lines of text a few lines down.

Mine was like that (after some MN update thingy) but has now resolved. That's no help, is it?

EvilPea · 17/06/2022 14:09

I do remember this one.
bit close to home for me. But it was a good one.

Stroopwaffels · 17/06/2022 14:14

Lucy Benjamin was brilliant in that episode.

longtompot · 17/06/2022 14:19

That was an amazing episode. So well acted. The first episode I have paused to leave the room

Raahh · 17/06/2022 14:22

I didn't re-watch the episode today, but I've recorded it for later. Will be interesting to see where the follow-up episode takes it.

OP posts:
Binglebong · 17/06/2022 14:22

That was very very good.

Genuine question: as some of it was told to Emma while in her role as GP rather than as police surgeon, is that bit admissible? Otherwise her testimony would hake little sense "How did you know x" "Because of reasons i can't tell you".

Raahh · 17/06/2022 14:25

Bingle good point.

It's a shame it wasn't shown in prime tme slot- so the people who didn't think it should have won (because it's just a rubbish day time soap) would be more likely to watch it.

In idle moments I find myself wondering if Maeve ever takes her hands out of her pockets - must make it very difficult to treat patients. Maybe she needs to book into Sid's minor surgery unit ... 😂

IamupInSpaceMan · 17/06/2022 17:38

Fuzzy I'm relieved to know it's not just my useless phone making posting difficult, thanks for your reply.
