Which is the best series of Line of Duty?

If you were going to introduce Simeon's to Line of Duty which series would you show them? They don't live in UK so have never seen it and probably won't have time to watch all the series beginning at Season 1. So which to recommend?

Three is fantastic but you need to watch two before it, so you get Lindsey Denton

Start with 1 but 2 and 3 are best.

The final series was such a disappointment.

They will want to watch the rest.

If definitely like one series then the Thandie Newton one - 4??

Season 3 is my favourite but you need Season 2 for context. Then Season 1. 4 & 5 meh.

The only thing I liked about the last 2 was Anna Maxwell Martin, really.

I have just been tempted into watching again from the beginning, though. I think I'd just enjoy watching a montage of all the interview scenes.
