Bring back Debs Brownlow - the show just isn’t the same without her…

@DahliaMacNamara daffying describes her perfectly 😂

woodhill · 09/04/2022 12:08

@DahliaMacNamara

I got the fear when Emma started going on about it taking a couple of months to sort everything out to follow John to Australia. Thank heavens that soap admin rules are different and we don't have to have her daffying around the place for weeks on end.
Yes just go off half way round the world at the drop of a hat

Nothing to sort out?

Emma to Faye: You can't just move to Australia like that, there's things you have to sort out first!

Emma 5 minutes later to her family: I'm moving to Australia with my boyfriend I've never mentioned. Tonight, btw.

Soap law is wild Grin

@lollipoprainbow

Glad to see Emma gone too, crikey she certainly got her tickets and visa for Australia sorted out very quickly didn't she HmmHmmHmm
Exactly what I was thinking
familyissues12345 · 09/04/2022 18:22

It's a bit like when they hand their notice in on casualty, end of the shift and they are off! Grin

Akire · 09/04/2022 20:50

I for one am glad to see back of Emma she’s no great lose. By far better way hope she has a good long life over there Grin

Honeyroar · 09/04/2022 21:10

But if she grew up in Australia she wouldn’t need a visa, would she?

Mollypolly2610 · 09/04/2022 21:44

what about closing her bank account here

And surely you can do everything online anyway…

However im sure she didn’t empty her room or clean it before leaving, so Craig might have to do some cleaning. Who’s going to move into her room? Stripper/cardigan lady?

eggandonion · 10/04/2022 00:08

She has a child? But Tyrone had a room too.

trackerby · 10/04/2022 09:41

I'm just imagining a giant suitcase packed with pink unwashed clothes.

It takes me a fortnight to get ready for a week in a caravan.

lollipoprainbow · 10/04/2022 09:50

Yes she managed to pack super quick too. The whole thing was completely unrealistic but it is soapland.

Notdoingthis · 10/04/2022 10:12

Just caught up. Poor Kelly. She cried like a child, and made me cry.

lollipoprainbow · 10/04/2022 10:36

Kelly was the most realistic crier I've ever seen felt like she was really mourning her mum even my dd9 was emotional !!

Deadringer · 10/04/2022 10:40

I don't think we have seen the last of Emma, they never get rid of the annoying ones.
According to her corrie page she moved to Australia with her mother Fiona, but moved back shortly after to be near her father, so she wasn't raised over there.

eddiemairswife · 10/04/2022 10:47

I liked Fiona. The last I saw of her was in Oxford helping Lewis or Hathaway, or possibly both.

woodhill · 10/04/2022 10:52

Yes, she was ok but always stroppy

Please don't let Emma come back with her pink ensemble

Kelly was so much better in her scene, I was really moved

Deadringer · 10/04/2022 11:36

I think Kelly is a good actor, they could do a lot with her character.

eggandonion · 10/04/2022 15:12

Fiona and Maxine in the hairdressers were very glamorous, doing shampoo and sets. Fiona should return and distract Steve.

FlowerOfTheValley · 11/04/2022 07:09

Kelly’s crying was very convincing and a moving scene especially considering both characters were not exactly likeable. I may have softened a little to both more recently.

It will be interesting to see if this is actually the end of the Rick murder. Unusual for someone - Gary - to actually get away with murder if so.

WomanStanleyWoman · 11/04/2022 08:51

Yes, that final scene was excellent - and a very brave move by the writer/director. The episode could have ended with Kelly collapsing in Maria’s arms. To show her clinging to her mother’s body like that was somehow brutal and very touching at the same time.

I really wanted her to go to visit her mum. I hate all the going no contact stuff.

strugglingwithlife · 11/04/2022 09:33

It was very sad, it's such a shame she was too late, it had me in tears and I don't even really like her character much since the Seb and Nina attack

Honeyroar · 11/04/2022 15:26

She’s going to be in bits now, really beating herself up for not going.

Hats off to Kelly’s mum for lying still while all that emotion was going on! I bet they had a big hug after that scene!
