@dillite, I don't know. I wasn't going to be a cheerleader for Harpreet-don't actually feel very passionately. I was just really shocked by the vitriol of this thread when discussing her. Can't understand it.

But I do agree with you about Akshay though

dillite · 20/03/2022 18:25

For me, and I can only speak for myself, ny dislike for her comes from her being the stereotype of a woman that's successful- abrasive, bossy, no human emotion, success and winning at all costs. I dislike those qualities and do not see them as great leadership qualities in anyone, man or woman. Can you imagine trying to tell her something sensitive? Or have a mental illness when working for her?

friendlyflicka · 20/03/2022 18:33

@dillite, Yes I can imagine telling her something sensitive and thinking she would be professional about it. I think the environment of the Apprentice is very artificial and she didn't think her emotions fitted into this. She obviously got on well with her competitors.

I would much prefer someone acting like this than the one who cried about how much she loved her Dad. I hate sentimentality like that. Would much rather deal with someone like Harpreet.

friendlyflicka · 20/03/2022 18:40

And I actually thought the way almost all the girls acted, particularly Kathryn, in the first task on the ship, towards the woman with the veil who dropped out, was completely disgraceful. They ignored every comment she made and talked over her. I thought that was much more lamentable than Harpreet in the kitchen.

friendlyflicka · 20/03/2022 18:58

And why, did whoever is in charge of this, think it was ok to have the 4 women interviewing in the most ridiculously high heels and skin tight dresses - as they have been most of the way through the show?

That's a question we have all asked. I have a feeling that it's part of the uniform- if you look at the last few seasons, it's hard to remember one who didn't wear 50 layers of slap, tight clothes and high heels.
friendlyflicka · 20/03/2022 19:21

If a man had been in the final 4, it would have looked even more ridiculous for the women.

Horcruxe · 20/03/2022 20:52

I think between Harpreet and Kathryn.

Harpreet had the better idea.

Currently shipping in multiple sizes of pyjamas abroad- especially with the current shipping problems, covid/ brexit isnt a goer.

DrSbaitso · 20/03/2022 22:50

The pyjamas business appears to be active so it looks as though somebody's buying. I'm not, though. Can you not get stuff that isn't shorts or button up, Kathryn?

Totally agree. That was awful.
Chocomelon · 21/03/2022 11:24

Haven't RTFT but doing so now!

I don't get why Lord Sugar made the point that he doesn't want to get involved in a family dispute and then DIDNT fire Harpreet! Surely he couldn't hire her after making that comment and she wouldn't be able to sort it before the final decision, would she?

So that's got to mean Kathryn wins.

I think Harpreet should have gone for that and Kathryn should have gone for not owning her domains.

honeyytoast · 21/03/2022 11:28

I personally find Kathryn and Harpreet very likeable and impressive. Harpreet said from the start she’s a leader, will win tasks when she’s given the reins etc and she always delivers on it.

DrSbaitso · 21/03/2022 11:43

I probably wouldn't want to work for Harpreet, but I'd definitely buy her goods and invest in her business.

Has the outfit thing ever come up on You're Fired? Or any interviews after, I'd love to know if they get given a wardrobe. It just strikes me as a bit too much of a coincidence they all have similar dresses in contrasting colours.

They are the best two I agree

I wondered about the outfits as the dresses are the same theme - colour blocking etc

MarshaBradyo · 21/03/2022 12:31

@friendlyflicka

Somebody back up the thread said she would sell her sister for a fiver, where does this come from? She was totally pleasant about her sister saying they had already discussed this. Quite normal in a friendly and loving sister relationship.
I agree. If it were me I’d work on a new financial arrangement which meant Harpreet could win but both benefit from the gains
SavaDc · 21/03/2022 22:45

The show needs to be so much more diverse than pretty, thin young females, with long hair, heels and tight dresses.

Feels very outdated.

dillite · 22/03/2022 00:15

I watched the "Why I fired you" tonight. It really brought it together just how useless the men were- especially when shown all at the same time in a compressed sequence.

Musicalmaestro · 22/03/2022 08:10

I'm still really sorry that Sharma left early. I would have liked to have seen more of her.
I understand she has health issues, but in this day and age, the programme should have ensured that all the tasks were accessible to all contestants.

Chocomelon · 22/03/2022 20:03

What is Why I fired you?

Chocomelon · 23/03/2022 10:39

Thank you

I was searching "why I fired you" and nothing came up!

I was also trying not to wake baby laughing watching a video of interviews of Solomon last night in bed

dillite · 24/03/2022 06:48

Ooops. That's my fault 🙈

billysboy · 24/03/2022 18:35

I think harpreet will win

Pebbledashery · 24/03/2022 18:48

I want neither to win as they are both highly unlikeable but at a push Harpreet.
