Guess what I just read!

From the 7th of March, Doctors will be repeated every day at 7pm on BBC 2- so kind of prime time Grin.

So that's fun Grin.

(Not sure if it's permanent or just an experiment).

Still only Monday to Thursday, but can't have everything. Grin

Rosie is annoying me too. Tapping into the "batty old lady" trope. How about "pleasant, efficient and IT literate older woman"?

FuzzyPuffling · 08/03/2022 14:15

Hurrah it's S&H now and it's started raining here. Good excuse to watch it. And I can't do the hoovering because the cat is asleep and she hates the vacuum cleaner.

StellaAndCrow · 08/03/2022 14:15

Just switched on for last five minutes - death's door Maggie (?) is looking remarkably healthy in the trailer for tomorrow's episode - I'm sure she'd be up to joining Luca on the trip.

FuzzyPuffling · 08/03/2022 14:16

Agreed Stella She does looked very chipper for an end of life person.

Binglebong · 08/03/2022 14:28

I'm all for talking to staff but why exactly does everyone think they should have been "consulted"? The partners had to make a quick decision. Two really, taking it on and running SV.

MyCatEatsPrawnCrackers · 08/03/2022 15:05

Just watching on iPlayer.
If Dan and Zara own the practice, then surely they can do what they want without having to run it by all the other GPs.
If one more person says 'Dr Ashdown', I'm going to scream!

JustDanceAddict · 08/03/2022 16:17

@Raahh

I've just read that Lynda Baron has died- obviously famous for 'Open All Hours' and 'Come Outside'- but also Rob's Auntie Ag, in Doctors.

I loved Come Outside, when my older 2 were little (the youngest doesn't remember it, so they must have decided to stop repeating it by thenGrin). The ugly brown teapot episode, and one about sewage Grin were my favourites.

I only remember the sewage one, much to my teens’ disgust! RUP Lynda

@liverpoolnana

Carmel? Was she the one who was from Urmston and knew two ways of getting there?
Just googled Lynda and apparently she was born in Urmston! How weird!
FuzzyPuffling · 08/03/2022 17:04

Ooooh, MyCat that is weird.

StellaAndCrow · 09/03/2022 13:50

Yes, death's door lady looking better and better!

Raahh · 09/03/2022 13:53

I have been watching the start, but was a bit distracted.

I'm glad Val is in the badger dress.

This is all bit weird.

Sid has a really odd manner for a doctor.

FuzzyPuffling · 09/03/2022 13:56

Also pleased to see the badger dress.
And the Northern Lights were very pretty, but that woman looks FAR TOO HEALTHY. And two staff members faffing about with torches? Go back to R=The Mill and do some proper work.

StellaAndCrow · 09/03/2022 13:56

Yes I thought we were watching a health and safety info film for a minute!

And this bloke's self employed? I don't know what's going on and who all these people are!

FuzzyPuffling · 09/03/2022 13:57

Nasty builder boss man. I suspect Manny will have a funny turn before the day is out.

Haha, yes, no wonder the government thinks that the health service are underworked
Raahh · 09/03/2022 13:58

Fuzzy quite- Val and Gobby are complaining about the possible extra work at SV- and Val is out playing games with Luca.

Now I'm wondering if her not really being death's door is part of the plot . . .

StellaAndCrow · 09/03/2022 13:58

I like Luca in that jumper.

Binglebong · 09/03/2022 13:59

This is really sweet. They are obviously doing this on their free time. Luca is a very good nurse when he's not lecturing.

FuzzyPuffling · 09/03/2022 13:59

Luca, you are not allowed to accept a ticket.

Raahh · 09/03/2022 13:59

I get the feeling Winnie's kids are going to re-appear and be annoyed at Luca being offered the trip.

If he goes.

StellaAndCrow · 09/03/2022 13:59

He wouldn't be able to accept it would he? We have to declare any gifts that might be worth over £10

Raahh · 09/03/2022 14:00

Bingle I wouldn't be so sure about their free time- it's exactly the sort of thing they usually do on company timeGrin.

This is timely, I've had a bad shoulder for 18 months- I'm waiting for a steroid injection (the physio is sure it's a frozen shoulder, but wants to rule out arthritis).

Jimmi is going for a lovely walk with his counselling client? He's another one that should get back to the surgery. It's all very lovely but there might be patients waiting for help.

Ok, no patients then.
