Ok so I'm gonna clear a few things up that has been mentioned throughout this thread (don't worry no spoilers)
No socks. Not a normal thing. Totally baffling to most Aussies...of course it depends on the shoe but if you can't work out what shoes needs socks and which ones don't, you probably need someone to help you get dressed.
Lip fillers, Botox, heaps of make up, etc again not the norm but it is becoming popular with the under 30s crowd but still not the norm.
People describing themselves by their ethnic background. Never come across this. Of all the people I've ever known that has an ethnic background most of them will mention it once or twice if it's relevant to the conversation but they don't go around saying I'm Italian Australian or Turkish Australian etc all the time. Usually the ones who do this are 1st or 2nd generation but the mentioning of it drops off the longer they've been here. Never in my life have I heard someone calling themselves Irish or whatever just because their great great great grandmother was. I know they do that in America but us Aussies think that's bizarre.
Yes there was a groom who was kicked off the show. Don't worry this is not a spoiler. You will never see him because when they found out he had made vile videos making remarks that were homophobic, against women and fat people they kicked him off the show and re-shot the scenes. The story is out there but I suggest you don't go looking for it just in case it mentions who the bride is (you might get some spoilers there).
If there's anything else I can help clear up let us know!
And yes Andrew is a dick. Fucked in the head.
Lack of people at weddings. Yes it was Covid. Can't remember when this was filmed but some states may still have been under lockdown and borders were closed or they were open but you had to quarantine and if they went into lockdown you'd be stuck. Most of us weren't allowed to travel 5km from our home let alone 1000km over the border.
