I don't think I am every going to warm to Mackenzie - the character is too sanctimonious and holier-than-thou for me. Hendrix has had the classic Neighbours character arc - arrives as out-of-control teen/young adult and learns some lessons the hard way, is mentored by an older character (usually Susan), and turns life around to become valued member of the community. Ref: Roxy, Zara, Xanthe, Toadie - to name but a few.
