Am enjoying this season so far, last night's episode had me on edge with the Florence undercover role and seeing the commissioner run was funny

I enjoyed the undercover story and presumed that would run through the whole series. However, I did think the murder explanation was slightly weak last night. Also, Miranda carrying the gun was feeble - we felt that Camille would easily be able to knock the gun out of her hands or overpower her.

Loving Ralf Little as the inspector.

With Camille gone, I feel they need to introduce a new higher level policeman/woman. The Comissioner seems to be having a bigger role than in past series. I felt Ralf’s laughter at seeing him running wasn’t acting but genuine.

Death in Paradise is my Friday treat.

I’m going to miss Florence. I’m not keen on the new Sergeant, hope they bring someone else in above her.

If they're going to keep doing the "DI falls in love with the DS" trope (Richard/Camille; Humphrey/Camille; Neville/Florence) then just once I'd like it to actually pan out because I'm sick of them putting the "will they/won't they" moments in when we all know it won't pan out in the end.

I'd really like to see them bring in a male DS for Neville (I wish they'd bring JP or Fidel back), we've only ever had the male DI/female DS combination and I think it would be a new dynamic (and would mean there would be scope for the next DI to be a woman if they want to go back to the male/female dynamic)

Neville lost all his irritating quirks, being terrified of everything, having to cover himself in insect repellant before stepping out the door. Has he just unclenched and learned to like the place? It was so over-the-top irritating and then suddenly, he's 'normal'.

I really like the new sergeant but still miss Ruby! She was brilliant. I think Marlon is a good addition to the team. Not keen on the Commissioner though as I can't hear what he's saying. It must be the timbre of his voice but I always have to turn up the volume when he speaks.

I think I want a male sidekick and the eventual replacement for neville to be female. Just for a change.

Do we think there’s going to be a romance between the commissioner and ex-nurse?

Why didn’t the doctor murder the boyfriend? Makes more sense then murdering the singer, who he was in love with.

Also, aspirin has been banned in children under 12 since 1986. The storyline said they discovered the allergy when she was 10, and she’s 22 now, ie 12 years ago - 2010. Someone didn’t do their research properly!

Still love the programme though.

Totally agree! I was fuming on Neville's behalf. Izzy is incredibly irritating after one episode. I fear she may ruin the whole series if she stays.

Couldn't agree more. What a PIA she is - I'm hoping she's only in it for a very limited time (ie last like week's episode only). Actually the actress playing her always irritates me, whatever she's in. I have no idea why.

Still loving the series though. So wanted Neville and Florence to get together.

I can see how the thought was that if she's more outgoing &spontaneous than him it might be amusing.

But that does soon tip over to being an annoying twit.

The scene from next week where she throws a drink at him and tells him she hates him.

But probably still expects to stay at his??
