Thread Three here to discuss the red herrings, daft clues, and to swear blind we recognise the voices/kneecaps/hands...

When Katherine Jenkins as Octopus in S1 slipped in a bit of soprano(?) during one of her performances, Davina did her OTT gawp and babbled excitedly with Rita. Mushroom did the same last week and the panel didn't react to or comment on it at all!

I wanted to call Mushroom 'Shallot Church' but it turns out a shallot is not in fact a type of mushroom. This is why I'm not a chef!

@APJ1 I checked out Traffic Cone more and I think Ed Balls is a strong guess. The others are a bit too serious.

I found a YouTube clip of him on loose women with Judge Rinder saying he’s actually a really good singer. Plus when you hear him talking he has that S sound you can hear not a lisp but I don’t know what you could call it.

Has anyone else suggested Sheridan Smith for Mushroom? I feel that i can hear her voice. She's quite small too. Sometimes it's easier to look at the physique, where possible. That's why I thought people were right with Tom Chaplin and Will Young as they're tall and so can't be the likes of James Blunt, who isn't.

I actually thought it was her in the first performance but now I’m not sure!

I still think mushroom is Kym marsh.....I can't see past it

I like Ed Balls as a guess, I really don't believe they are a professional singer.

Yes, torn between Sheridan, Kim Marsh, Kerry Catona and Kimberly Walsh (though think the latter two are contenders for Firework).

I'm just limbering up for tonight (well, creating score cards as DD (10) doesn't always have a scooby of a guess, so prefers to mark them out of 10) Apparently DCat will be joining in tonight on the chez Rainbow judging panel.

I'm still sticking to last weeks guesses, but open to being swayed on some as usual.

I am going to have to watch it on catch up as am out but will try to avoid spoilers (argh) But tbh, I've kind of gone off the boil a bit - and I really love this show. I think it's because everyone's guesses are spot on and I just can't get excited about someone from Westlife or the bloke from Keane or even Michelle Williams (would not really know her).

I would love there to be a Morten Harkett or a Sue Perkins - someone proper known and a real curve ball, but I just can't see who the curveball might be.

I hope they up the calibre next time. I would say Will Young was a good choice. That kind of vibe is good.
