For someone so skint, it’s amazing what an extensive wardrobe Gemma has, I’m sure we rarely see her in the same outfit twice - so much sparkly, party wear!! I mean it’s totally not the most unrealistic part of that family’s storyline .. but still !!

Yes, you/we worked out it would be a reasonable amount of money that Gemma and Ches could claim compared to what they seem to say they've got (i.e. 'nowt').

Plus they never mention UC or DLA or forms or claims whereas in real life a young family in that situation would be very aware of these things. If they want to do one of their Public Service Announcments maybe it could be about that.

Lydia went to the factory, feigned sickness, and buggered back out for a couple of hours. The hotel shenanigans, after all the pantomime, only seemed to amount to her getting the waitress to text her if she found the watch Lydia planted somewhere near the table. It must be going somewhere, but it's all very convoluted, and I'm not invested enough in Adam and Sarah's marriage to care very much if Lydia wants to cause trouble.

The whole Lydia saga is the building of a storyline I think. Planting seeds and her planting evidence. She's carefully setting things in motion to point to Adam and her having an affair. Playing the long game. But it was a bit odd!

I guess we moan when a story is done and dusted in an episode or two but on the other hand, we don't want to wait for something to happen!
