It’s such a silly tale, the storylines are stale, ‘It’s gone to pot!’, we wail; we’ll try to give it up - but fail.

Can't believe that plastic striped curtain between living room and kitchen in Chesney's house.

Weren't they fashionable in the early 70s?

thenightsky · 28/01/2022 20:14

Emma and Fay story is boring and irritating at the same time.

DoTheMerengue · 28/01/2022 20:19

Craig is the most indiscreet police officer of all time. Are they really supposed to tell randoms details of investigations?

woodhill · 28/01/2022 20:23

How has he got time to sit around on duty?

Itstheprinciple · 28/01/2022 20:28

I love that you know this!

excelledyourself · 28/01/2022 20:46

What is this about Daisy being some sort of social media influencer, reaching out about consent?? Did I miss something?

Can't pick and choose your followers? Isn't that what privacy settings are for? Hmm

RAOK · 28/01/2022 20:54

What did happen to Daniel’s cardigan wearing lady?

Ellenanora7 · 28/01/2022 21:44

@RAOK

What did happen to Daniel’s cardigan wearing lady?
I think he gave her a good bit of money and she moved away to be with her aunt to run a business somewhere.

I couldn't care less about Faye and Emma, it's complete rubbish.

Akire · 28/01/2022 22:33

Craig was very quick to ditch all his moral compass. Still suppose this makes him a dirty policeman on street from now on. The grandson bound to notice Emma though and Craig be charged with looking at CCTV and have delete it. So plenty more mileage in this story.

Daisy just likes taking poses and posting on Instagram far as I know has lots of followers. Though teen girls who might want “fashion” advice is one thing teenage boys can’t see it.

Tim and hospital party Confused

eggandonion · 28/01/2022 23:11

Im hoping they forget the emma story, it was dire.
How can Jenny s man friend be made redundant, surely he is busy filling the sink hole or something.

PinkDaydreams · 29/01/2022 07:50

I haven't watched properly for two weeks, saw a bit last night. So Leo is now living with Jenny at the pub, my guessing is that Daisy will try it on with him

Itstheprinciple · 29/01/2022 09:01

No I think Daisy is too busy trying to get back with Daniel. I'm guessing Leo's dad is going to start coming to the pub to see Leo and Jenny is going to realise she has more in common with him.

Oooo I hadn't thought of the dad but yes that sounds much more plausible!!
MyCatEatsPrawnCrackers · 29/01/2022 09:19

I think there's something shifty about Leo. I have said this before but why can't we have strong single women on the street? Why do all the women (apart from Mary) seem so desperate to be attached to any old tosser that shows an interest.

TheGirlInTheGreenDress · 29/01/2022 10:10

I think the Leo storyline is heading towards him fleecing Jenny for a load of money. Daisy will be on to him but Jenny won’t believe her.

I spotted that too and think it must be new, as am sure I would have noticed it before! Used to love them as a kid in the 70s - my auntie had one and I was always playing with it and kept hassling my mum to get one for my room Grin
woodhill · 29/01/2022 10:32

Yes I think we had one circa 1969 and my dgm did too.

Maybe it's vintage😀

DahliaMacNamara · 29/01/2022 12:32

I didn't really get the whole Leo redundancy = immediate penury storyline. Unless his company abruptly went bust, he'll have been paid up to the end of the month at least, then a redundancy payment on top if he's been there more than two years. He wouldn't need to start living rent-free or borrowing from his dad to pay his way. There's Bernie's old job in the kebab shop going begging for a start.

Akire · 29/01/2022 12:40

I thought Leo was living with smug couple who in pub last week? Who lives someone where you can few hours notice get out of lease or agreement. Even a room
On shared house is a months notice. He’s dodgy defo Grin

I have one on my back door, the idea was for it to keep flies out, that doesn't actually happen but it does scare the neighbours cat enough to stop him coming in and eating our cat's food.
Juletide · 29/01/2022 15:30

I think Craig's days as an officer of the law are numbered.

Next stop, delivering knickers with Kirky, or sewing mailbags in Clink.

DahliaMacNamara · 29/01/2022 15:53

I've been thinking that about Craigy for months. But then, a soap copper is bound to get overly involved and indiscreet with local bad 'uns.

WomanStanleyWoman · 29/01/2022 15:58

I just can’t imagine how anyone thought the Ted storyline was a good idea. Any of it. ‘Hmm, what can we do with Faye now she’s out of prison?’ ‘Erm… put her back in prison?’ Imagination by-pass from the scriptwriters there - before you even get to how awful the rest of the story is.

Ted’s grandson seemed nice though. Hopefully as they’ve mentioned the possibility of exhumation, they’ll dig Ted up and discover a congenital heart defect, or a fatal allergy to ginger, meaning that running over his ginger nuts could actually have saved Ted’s life, if only he hadn’t been unwittingly given a replacement packet by a kind neighbour. That way Emma and nice grandson can get married. Hey, if David can marry the mother of his wife’s murderer…

To be fair, the recruitment bar doesn’t seem that high for the Weatherfield Police. Look at the storyline with Bernie - would they really just drop the investigation? Even if the police believed she had nothing to do with Joseph’s disappearance, hasn’t she committed fairly major fraud?

Id like Teds twin brother to turn up, i liked Ted. As if January isn't dreary enough without that to worry me.
Will grandson not realise it was Emma from the photofit thing?
I sign for things in work, and I d be hard pressed to do a photofit of any delivery drivers.
