Let’s hope the powers behind the glitter ball read this thread and decide to take some of our good ideas on board re the results and Sunday show. You never know.

I don't want Tess to go. I agree the patronising "ah, are you crying?" comments have been excruciating this year but I also be sad if she left. Maybe someone could have a word with her and coach her before next year's show. With a few pre-prepared lines and a bit of practice, I'm sure she could stop the cringy, patronising stuff.

17 years in a presenting job saying 'they're on their feet' etc is pretty good going, and maybe it's time for a refresh of the whole thing. There's a couple of the judges I'm not mad about either.
I really hope they look at these threads @Bluffinwithmymuffin and see what people are saying.

Nothing wrong with Tess she's calm, quiet and professional, the last thing we need is someone like AJ, who people on here are clamoring to be given a star role on strictly, and her foghorn voice.

I'm trying to think who would be a good replacement, but maybe the shake up could involve a few names we don't yet know of. Presenters have to start somewhere.

I see AJ as fun and lively, Tess as boring and staid.

Yes or Janette? A presenter who knows about dancing would definitely add something different to the tired proceedings.

I certainly don't want Tess to go, I love the familiarity each year of seeing her and Claudia opening that first show. The judges I'm less bothered about, although I would be upset if Craig left.

Not just with SCD but sports presenting etc, it's as if there is a world shortage of presenters. It's great to see different people and not the same old 'safe' presenters.

Exactly @vjg13, some new blood on TV is required in a lot of areas.

Does that include Holly Willoughby then she's as bland and dull as they come, I don't see people itching to replace her with someone else !

New blood is all very well, but you do want to see evidence that they're capable of doing the job of presenting live TV before letting them loose on your absolute biggest show.

With Tess, I feel I’ve grown accustomed to her face and it would seem odd for quite a while to have someone else filling that role. She’s an understated compere and I like the contrast with Claudia, who can think quickly under pressure and is always ready with a quip.

I know it’s an entertainment show and people are supposed to be entertaining but for just now introducing someone else would be like Prince Charles suddenly being Head of State, when it seems so much like it’s a Queen Elizabeth shaped position as she has been doing it so long.

By the way, thanks to everyone who has been on the Strictly thread this year. As a newbie, I’ve enjoyed keeping you company.

Zoe Ball stepped in once years ago when Tess was off for some reason (?sick) and was a million times better. Much more natural rapport with people, like she was on ITT.

I really would not be sorry to see Tess go - I've had enough of sitting cringing every time someone comes off the dancefloor.

Absolutely! She’s awful and always has been. That show is worse than ever. Vernon and Josie Gibson were a breath of fresh air. Holly and Phil can go tomorrow.

Talking of changes , hope they get rid of Craig? His panto villan role has worn thin and it’s time for him to go. He thinks he is bigger than the show now. All the withholding 10 marks is like look how important I am rather than a critique of the dance.
Loving Anton as a judge and although Motsi wasn't that constructive everything was either wow! or great energy! Now she has now got much better in the role.

I love Craig. I think all the judging has been a bit odd this year but he is more on the ball than most. I am happy for Motsi to go.

Keep Craig and Anton. New judges to replace the other two.
