@PolkadotsAndMoonbeams thanks for new thread
@SunshineCake1 ok I'll head there after here
Voted for rose - of course
i think it's exactly like acting. when actors make you believe they're in love.
Yea cos actors NEVER cheat on their regular spouse/partners with co stars and leave for them...

Judges styling is rather dated and theatrical in nature. I don't imagine the shows stylists are very happy with that but likely had little say in it.
sometimes he looks like he's going through the motions instead of actually dancing
This is why I prefer rose to john
Dance is more than getting the steps and timing right (though of course that helps!)
Plus if I'm honest john and johannes' "chats" seem scripted and forced if I'm honest
Rose and Giovanni I believe what they're saying
Cue post strictly it turns out John and johannes together and rose and Giovanni can't stand each other...

Oh dear... choreography here is like a dance designed for johannes with john as a backing dancer!!!
Definitely deliberately out dancing John. One of the earlier chats I also got the sense Johannes may have approached John romantically and been rejected and perhaps that is influencing the choreography?
To those pps discussing how working closely with someone in a way where you're basically faking a relationship leads to mistaking fake emotions for real ones this is exactly it!
I think there's even a psychological term for it but I forget it right now.
In couples therapy this is sometimes the advice given as "fake it till you make it" fools your mind until you reach a point you are back in love again.
There are certain actors who seem to "fall in love" with every romantic co-star and then they split as soon as filming completes!
Ben Affleck, Angelina jolie, milo ventimiglia come to mind
I'd be happy to see tess go too.
6225209 is short number for rose
Yes I would have liked to see more of her sass which I love about her but...we can't always get what we want
Anton is apparently not such a nice guy behind the scenes and possibly a racist?
One thing that puzzled me as I don't watch Corrie either - why was Katie mcglynn not more popular? She seemed to go out quite early I thought. Aside from the annoying nasally voice was there something perhaps gossip column type that I missed?
Nina wadia lying through her teeth then given what she's said elsewhere
@Slowchimes we mean making the DANCES all about him not the rest necessarily. I for one appreciate he will have had a damn tough time growing up gay and black in SA but that's no reason to make the DANCES all about him. He's the teacher and partner but he should be ensuring the celeb is showcased in the dancing
I really don't think a foregone conclusion this year, there's been finals in the past where that's been the case but not this one.
