I just can't bear her hip-hop routines with Neil:) TBH I have hated many of her routines: the Simpson monstrosity with Max, the cha cha with Dev which got him sent home... Is it ok to say I don't like her choreo? I don't want this thread to go Daily Mail.

I don't think she has an eating disorder now? At her age I was that slim and ate 3 meals a day. Also, so many dancers lose a lot of weight. Look at how slim Sara Davies got!

I think you can have your opinion! 😉 I like her energy and quirkiness though. Yes lots of dancers can get very slim but she seems more gaunt to me than the last 2 series.

I don't think they're her routines though? I mean she danced them, but she didn't choreo them. With the exception of the cha cha maybe..

You are probably right? I am not sure which ones she has choreoed. I yelled at the screen for AJ and Kai's over-ambitious salsa too; he may not have choreoed it though.

I'm amazed at the singers just now. Sometimes I have felt they were off key but they just sang that beautifully with no music.

Sorry, it was me who said the thread had gone a bit daily mail, I didn’t mean to shut down debate / opinion entirely!

I agree with you on Neil and Diane’s street routines, I am not a fan at all, I think cos they seem very stage school rather than actual authentic street dance

Fab to see the band singers on today and singing beautifully a capella.
Rumba was judge's choice yes.
Also mentioned that Rose - no shock - is reprising her couple's choice.
AJ has chosen her charleston.
Don't know what the judge's choice id for those two yet.
John's showdance will be to You got the love (FaTM version)

Tabloids have also been stirring it about two drop outs from all the contestants final dance and throwing shade at (presumably) Nina. I noticed Dan coming to her defence this week.
They always come up with headlines about bitter eliminees slating the show (they did it to Rob and Nina and inexplicably, Brenda supposedly 'slamming' Soph's comments earlier in the year, he did no such thing) when in context, the comments are absolutely fine. It is weird being with someone 24/7. the judging is sometimes often inconsistent with the comments.

That said, it is a shame if Rob cannot return for health reasons unless he is scared of mixing - if it was his heart, they could have put him on a pedastal or something and Di could have spun him round in a circle. Or even better, he could have introduced the whole thing as Kermit with Miss Piggy on his arm maybe that's why he has pulled out if he has, in fact, pulled out
As for Nina, with the success of The Outlaws, I'd be surprised if she wasn't there and the red tops need to have a word with themselves for shit-stirring.

Re AJ's voice. I'm not sure that she has "toned it down". I just think that as we've got to know her more and seen her dance so fantastically we've all just go used to her and her voice is part of who she is and not annoying at all. That's my take anyway.

I had passed comment about Rose and Gio not having done a Charleston and my friend said it’s most likely because as a general rule, a lot of a Charleston dances require side by side dancing, not dancing in hold, being separate from each other and seeing as contact with Gio is what helps Rose to dance and keep count and keep track of where she is etc that she may not be able to manage the Charleston.

That’s good Dan commented. I’d saw that article in the week and thought it was pretty shi&£y of the paper (no surprise).

The singers were brilliant. I wish they did more of that throughout the series. I know there are more celebs to fit in whereas now they need more “filler” but would have been nice to have proper behind scenes people on throughly the series (band, singers, more make up hair not just one off director whatever).

Anyone know what the house gospel choir is?? Ryland said they were signing for all the couples show dances. JJ is to that big anthem from sex & the city film (for me as that’s where I know song from but sure was famous otherwise too!). Wonder what the other couples songs will be is gospel choirs singing?

Also Johannes implied Jason G choreographed their show dance. He was saying how he knew Johns strengths etc and every type dance in it. Don’t the pros normal do the show dance? Potentially be amazing if someone has really focused on showcasing John.

I also thought the same about Rose and the Charleston but all finalists have two dances they haven't done. The Charleston just happens to be one, along with rumba, that she didn't do and some could argue that it may be a disadvantage, as even a fairly reasonable Charleston is often a crowd pleaser.

I'd like to hear the judges justification for choosing the rumba for J&J. Didn't they say it scored 35 and may have got a 10 from one judge? I thought the point of the judge's choice was to pick a (probably early) lower scoring dance, to show how much the celebrity has improved? If they choose low scoring, probably Latin, dances for the other two, I won't happy.

That would make a good Sunday Strictly, wouldn’t it; behind the scenes and backstage from last night’s show, coverage of everyone involved, not just the dancers, demo time etc - and a longer show inc. results on Saturday so a double dose of Strictly every weekend, as per, only with no chance of spoilers - as we’ve said before on this thread. Maybe one day.
