Blimey what a week! It was as if the producers or choreographers went round whispering ˋX is doing a big lift so you need to bung one iń and they all had a go…and nothing went quite to plan.

I didn’t find AJ as energetic or bouncy as Kai (not sure if Salsa bounces but I know what I mean) but I have still given her a couple of votes because last week she was undermarked and I want her to continue.

I need Dan to go out now. Come on. Even Aunty Shirl can’t save him, please!

Wow……what a strange night it was.

J&J - such a shame about the lift at the end. When I was watching it I couldn’t quite work out what was happening…it seemed like John just couldn’t roll him up and then dropped him? I’m looking forward to watch the repeat on iPlayer so I can see it more clearly.

Rhys was amazing - I was very impressed and Nancy looked phenomenal.

Rose - well she was just Rose wasn’t she. Great song, lovey dress and gorgeous partner but I didn’t feel too blown away by it.

I thought Dan was better than how the judges described him. He’s trying so hard bless him. I hope he’s not in final (purely because there are better dancers) but I enjoy watching him and fair play to him for making it this far when it’s obviously something he finds challenging.

I was really disappointed with AJ tonight - it all looked so stilted, predictable and ‘performed’ as opposed to her enjoying it and just going for it - which is what I was expecting of her. When she stumbled coming out of the first lift I did wonder if it knocked her off a little bit, but in general I found her performance quite boring. And the lift at the end was so awkward to watch and like Anton said, it seemed to just go on for ever!!!

My votes tonight will be Rhys, John and Rose.

By rights john and aj should be in the do as they made major mistakes.
But most likely it will be dan and aj, if aj dances it with no mistakes she will get through.
Fed up with the dan hate though.

I don't hate Dan, but I feel he is the least capable of the dancers left.

Nadia has certainly showcased him well and they do have a lovely partnership.

Well you know, if they stuck to proper salsa instead of “cabaret style” salsa there would be no lifts to worry about! Wink

I completely agree with your summary @DontWantTheRivalry although my votes went to 2x AJ & 1x Rose.

I really hope AJ isn't in the dance off although I'd love to see the dance done properly. I would like John in the dance off as I'd love to see the last lift done right and I actually really enjoyed his performance overall (although agree with earlier comments that Johannes out danced him as usual.

I'm a fan of Dan and have voted for him in the past but don't mind if he does go tonight as Rhys did a fantastic job so doesn't deserve the dance off this week, especially with the mistakes make by both AJ and John.

Voted for John and Johannes as I loved their dance, it was joyous, and John was amazing getting Johannes to complete the lift.
Rhys was very good tonight too.
Giovanni’s huge smile when he knew they had managed their lift! How brave of Rose!

Think the lifts were just too much for AJ tonight. Was enjoying it till the end but it was a dis as ter! , to quote old misery Craig.
Nadya has done a great job with Dan and turned him into a dancer, I love a tango with traditional tango music, but he’s the weakest dancer now.

I'm not anti-Dan, I think he's tried hard and is doing well and I love his partnership with Nadiya. But given that one of the five has to go I think it would be best if it's him.

Rhys - danced like he was determined to finally stop Nancy calling
him ‘this boy’. Would hate to see his newfound confidence
falter so hoping the public will vote for him.

Rose - excellent as usual and a death-defying leap is in keeping with
the way she seems to launch herself fearlessly into everything.

J&J - Is Johannes too much of a spotlight-grabber?

Dan - showcased smouldering Nadiya competently but maybe time to
go?

AJ - There was a good dance in there somewhere but it didn’t quite
come out on the night. If she was in the dance off, it might be a
blessing in disguise as she could have another go at it and nail it.

Why so many votes here for AJ ?? She messed up and voting for her could mess things up for Rose who was fantastic.

Yes AJ lost my vote to Rhys tonight. Did not like her salsa even before the awful lift and I normally love her dancing.

Rhys did an amazing job of the AT it would be a shocker if he was back in the DO!!

Hmm. Pretty underwhelmed by that QF.

J & J - meh. Didn't feel that special. I feel like they peaked some time ago and have become quite same-y.

Rhys - technically very good but still not giving me any feels at all.

Rose and Gio - delightful again. Nailed on to win the glitter ball I think. But was staggered at the crassness of Shirley congratulating Rose on blocking out the noise from the studio???!!!!!
Dan - I know the haters loathe that he's still here but I'm still enjoying him and Nadiya and the fun they are having. Their socials are very entertaining. I'd be fine with him getting to the final as long as he doesn't rob Rose of her rightful glitterball (which he won't).
AJ and Kai are my personal favourites but they had a bit of a disaster. I really hope she's not in the DO but if she is I hope they nail that dance the second time.
Voted for AJ and Dan. (Rose will be OK without my votes).
It will be very, very interesting to see who's in the DO. I'd like it to be Rhys vs John.

I voted for AJ, Rhys, and John. I didn't vote for Rose as I think she is safe. Bit worried about the dance off.

Does anyone have an idea of what AJs lift was supposed to be like? I almost want them to be in the dance off to see her nail it, I can’t visualise at all what was meant to happen
