The other thread is nearly full so here is a new one. The way things are going Naughty Boy seems trapped in a never ending cycle of trials - the public seem to be taking delight in his discomfort. He seems a bit immature and vulnerable - I'm starting to feel a bit uncomfortable about the way things are going for him.

David Ginola is very suave and charming - a real silver fox! ☺ Arlene is bearing up well. Matty seems a bit invisible. Adam and Simon are quite entertaining and come across as nice blokes. Frankie is a bit annoying.

The trial tomorrow seems to involve drinking foul concoctions - I think it will be a bit revolting. I'm glad they no longer seem to be doing trials involving eating live insects, that always seemed really barbaric to me.

I love the way Ant and Dec take the pi** out of the contestants and also take time to fit in some humourous swipes at our PM - I love their silly humour, they make the programme doubly watchable.

If the producers are reading

Eating, drinking and trials involving bugs and slimy stuff being thrown on celebs is getting really boring. There must be something more interesting they can do to win stars.

Secret task - they used to do these on BB a lot - such as getting the others to do strange things or say certain words.

I like the outside challenges climbing or physical trials. Like the plank they started with.

Suppose that’s harder to do in wales, but why can’t they do a trial in the daylight? If they wake at 11am do one for 12. I’m sure those sports celebrities need more activity than they are getting.

It’s no celeb BB but it’s not IMACGMOOH either. It’s a poor relation of both.

Last year it was unusual circumstances, they’ve had a year to think up ways of making it work.

I can’t see anyway next year they will be freely traveling to Australia. My family live there and there’s no chance of them traveling yet.

Yes, I agree. I couldn't believe it when they said 'you have 3 stars' I thought... shit, there's another 8 to go! I couldn't see the point of one singing and then one drinking gloop. The singing bit was just to jolly it up a bit and it didn't work.
Also I felt that NB's drinks were a lot easier... fermented plums and the like, whilst Frankie's were anus and stuff.

Yes, would much prefer some outdoor trials. They're just getting up now after not eating until 2am or whatever... why not record trials in the afternoon.

I'm struggling to keep watching this series and think I will stop tbh. There have been hardly any funny bits. Mo was great last year, Shane Ritchie was good too although I was expecting him to be an arse, and I loved Jordan.
This year seems so flat. No one I'd really like to win. No one I look forward to seeing every night, Just meh 😕

I read that they have their meal about 1am after the trial and get to bed about 3am and then not wake until 11am. Their body clocks must be mucked up. As a person that can't lie in, I'd be existing on no sleep!

I did think NB was getting some easier drinks - i mean people drink fermented fruit/veg/beans anyway, it's rank but surely far easier to deal with than a blended butthole?

Maybe it was the quantity and the fact they were necking the drinks.

I don’t know, but it didn’t seem real. TBH if someone gave me a milkshake and said it had anus in it I’d gag anyway so they don’t really need to add the anus.

In the jungle they definitely had worse eating trials.

Did anyone else notice that the washing up and cleaning was assigned to only women? Very progressive David!

NB can only have halal meat so apart from cow tongue he couldn't have any other animal parts which made it harder on Frankie.

Why couldn't he have ground up halal meat?

Think its easier to do vegetarian stuff for him. Same as when last year Bev was vegan just for the duration of the day.

I think one of the reasons I'm not keen on it being in the castle is that is feels quite claustrophobic. In Australia they would go away from the camp to do active and physical trials so there was more variety. It seems they are much more constrained with what they can do in the castle; it's all eating or being covered with things. I also liked that in the jungle there seem to be more footage of them just sitting around and talking, they don't seem to show that in Wales and those can be the most interesting bits.

I also don't think it's a good set of celebrities this year, half of them aren't even famous and there is no funny characters in there. First time I've ever considered just not watching the rest of the series.

I don't know whether this has been said in a previous thread, but I'm so disappointed that Richard is no longer there, and I do wonder whether he planned to exit and leave early due to breaking a covid bubble? I think he would have been great value.

Also not happy with how much airtime Frankie is getting. No dissing her, but feel she's not as interesting as some others could be.

I thought Simon Gregson would be amusing, sadly he isn't. No one is funny in there this year, they don't have the same dynamic or the camaraderie of the group last year. Feels as though they've scraped the barrel this time around.
