I did not like Karen when she first joined but she has grown on me. She was indeed excellent with Chucky Venn, and I liked her partnership with Jamie.

It took me a while to warm to Karen but once she ditched Kevin and got a kickass haircut I suddenly became a fan. She was great with Charles, Jamie and Chris.

Good luck with getting the power back asap Sheldon. My boiler had a bit of a wobble first thing this morning and for a nasty ten minutes I was on my knees praying to the gods of central heating not to desert me at this hour of need.

The people who are up here are doing a sterling job trying to get us fixed. They are battling all sorts and frankly are doing brilliantly in the circumstances.

I think the pp (sorry I can't remember who), who said Rose may have peaked too soon might be right. As wowed,but less so recently.

I'm not sure the GBP will be so fickle if Rose has a couple of subpar dances. I think once you win the nation's heart ™️ then it tends to stay won. I'm Team AJ but trying not to get my hopes up because I think Rose has it in the bag and Giovanni will be joining his footballing and Eurovisioning compatriots in the winners' podium.

Are there many winners who have been in the dance off before the final? I've only watched since the Caroline Flack year, and I can only think maybe Ore? I know Bill, Kelvin and Jay weren't in the DO, and maybe Stacey. I thought Maisie last year did very well to get to the final when she was in the DO 2 or 3 times early on. She could easily have won.

Caroline was in an early dance-off. Alesha was in a late dance-off but that was a weird week because Matt do Angelo had his woobie moment and got a ridiculous quantity of sympathy votes.

Ore was in two dance-offs which would normally be the kiss of death. No idea what was going on that year.

Danny Mac was going on that year, twice as good as that falsely modest smug git Ore. Robbed.

Dan has posted again on his socials thanking people for their support and messages BUT again he and Nadiya have received a load of abuse from idiots. See screenshot. What's the matter with these people? Might have to throw Dan some votes just to annoy the idiots!

The levels of literacy in those posts are frighteningly low. There's an obvious correlation.

The year Ore won I was supporting Claudia, so wasn't fussed come the final. Thought Ore was brilliant in the final, but thought Claudia should've been there instead of him!

I was disappointed that Ore won - I am not a fan of Joanne Clifton at all, and I felt Ore’s crying became almost manipulative in the end.

Also, Danny Mac is the most beautiful celeb dancer Strictly has ever had. I understand why he didn’t win - in the end, viewers vote for the journey plus the dancing rather than the dancing alone - but his dancing was second to none. I watch his dances more than any others. I was absolutely gutted he didn’t win. Mind you, he’s been on the West End state ever since so he’s probably not suffering as a result of not winning!

I agree. Ore had a good final and Joanne was very clever in what she put together for him. Their 1960s jive was particularly nice, but Danny was a class apart. I find Ore smug on everything he's been on since. Dan is going the same way, with only half the ability.
