Just watching on iplayer- the look on Tom's face when the camera cuts to him during all the 'amazing' 'brilliant' comments for Tilly was fab: true 'if looks could kill'!

I wasn't sure if I imagined that (was doing dishes so couldn't rewind and DH wouldn't...how rude!) but you've confirmed it for me. I think he's worried. And rightly so.

@pumpkinpal I have never believed that Strictly is fixed or in conspiracies but as soon as the judges started gushing about Tilly's dance I knew she would get 40 to keep her out of the dance off.

No way did it deserve that score

I am pretty sure it has been said that it is impossible for someone at the top to be in the dance off but not sure if that is true or not

Loved AJ and Kai. I really enjoyed Rhys's dance too. I thought the comments were harsh considering they gave Tilly 40. I like Tilly and I think she's good but I didn't enjoy that routine at all. I was also underwhelmed by Rose who I usually love.

I think Tilly is safe. I have enjoyed most of her dances, but not this one. I'm hoping AJ is safe.

I think at the beginning of the competition it would be impossible to be top of the leader board and in the dance-off, I'd do the maths in my head but can't be arsed. Once the numbers get lower and lower, I'd guess it would be more possible. Again, I can't be arsed to do the maths.

For people who've said there's a lot of Dan "hate" on this thread, I give you the number of posters that give him at least one vote every week. Not saying they're the same posters, but there are always a number of votes going his way each week.

Anyway, this week I voted for Rose, Rhys and Tom because I wouldn't like to see any of them in the dance-off. AJ was my favourite but I think she must be safe. If she isn't I shall give myself a slap on the wrist, but even if she is in the dance-off she'll go through because she's bloody brilliant.

I vote for dan, i like him and prefer him to rhys, and my dad is gordon.
I always forget tom.

Dan danced well, but no way was that a proper Charleston. Way too slooooooooooow.

Just been looking at the Strictly Facebook page where they post all the videos of the dances. Usually each video has mostly (90%) positive comments. Tonight there seems to be an avalanche of negative comments on Tilly & Nikita's video saying things like "How did this get 40? It was stompy and bad." Also comments that people are sick of Gordon being shown every single week.

I had to rewind to see what someone said about Tom's face when Tilly was getting praised by the judges. He really did look pissed off!

In our house we voted 3x AJ and 3x Dan this week.

Was showing my DC past dances from previous series and wow, Covid has really killed the atmosphere hasn’t it.

Watching Faye, Danny, Caroline, Jay or Georgia bouncing off the audience was something to behold. This series doesn’t have much of the magic of previous years and I think it’s the lack of audience to blame.

I was at drama school when Covid hit, and we had to do our two final graduate shows without an audience. It's genuinely bloody hard. In live performance you tend to "feed" off the energy of the audience - without it the performance can feel like an uphill struggle.

And obviously, we're not even used to the sort of audiences Strictly gets!

In the minority but I loved Tilly’s dance and have already watched it again. She had to really commit to those body shapes, which she did, along with a tricky song to dance to.

Nice that NotCraig pointed out what everyone except the judges has been saying for weeks, that Johannes is out dancing his partner.

AJ and Kai were lovely, Tom was excruciating.

I was bored enough to do the maths and with two ties on the leader board there is a not completely outcome that puts Tilly in the dance-off.

Interesting that Shirley said what I've been saying all series, that Rhys's grasp of rhythm is not right (Monkseal also picked it up on Twitter). I think that's something that he can't fix in the time available, so he'll never be a great dancer.

Ah but that was just bloody amazing anyway! The choreography! I remember at the time thinking a QS to this? Nah. OH YEAH! Mind we are huge Faye fans in this house...and of course I'm an even bigger Joe Varney fan!

Ah thanks for this. So yeah it's really important for the bottom 4 or 5 to get high viewer scores, without that they are guaranteed a dance off spot. I think Rose (haven forbid she ends up there!) would be saved over John and Dan, who in turn would be saved over Tom and Rhys. At least it starts to get a bit interesting with the votes now.

Not surprised. On Digital Spy there is total amazement and quite a lot of disgust at the marking..

No way on earth did it deserve a 40 and no way on earth was it better than AJ's dance
