Rylan on ITT is such a good presenter. He's just a natural. Though it's sad he feels he has to change his appearance so drastically.
I am genuinely bereft when strictly finishes for the year!

He really is 😁 love him. Being so warm and yet so slick at the same time is quite the skill. I enjoy Janette too

I'm a big Rylan fan. He's been lovely on everything I've seen him in. So relaxed and natural.

just rewatched Tom's dance and he didnt seem very graceful

I do think that Rhys doesn't quite get what the judges want because every week he gets the same feedback - less frenetic energy, slow it down and allow the performance to give the light and shade to showcase his technical skills - and every week he looks quizzical but smiles and nods .... and does the same thing the following week.

I do wonder if Nancy, as a new Pro who is in her first partnership, doesn't have the experience to explain it in a way Rhys can understand. Nancy is a brilliant dancer and she is clearly able to teach Rhys the steps but the nuance and performance teaching is just a bit beyond her. I kind of see her like Janette - she is a manic and high energy "pocket rocket" in the show but whereas Janette had the experience to know when to dial it back in a performance (and how to convey light and shade to her celebs) Nancy doesn't have that experience and maturity yet.

None of the other male celebs has a "novice pro" and I'm wondering whether Rhys would be having the same issue with perpetual frenetic energy in his dances if he had a more experienced teacher?

Kai is new to SCD but he has experience on the Irish DWTS so has some experience and you can tell Nikita is still new in some of the things he does but you can also see how he is really trying to get Tilly to work on the feedback they get and she understands what she needs to do ... Nancy and Rhys just don't seem to be taking the feedback on board and actually doing anything about it

I also lurk on these threads-Never watch live so can't comment and then by the time I catch up on the thread whatever I wanted to say is no longer relevant, or been said already!!
I feel like the right person went, and agree that Tilly, Tom, Rhys and Dan need to go next(in no particular order,but I think it will be Tilly and Rhys out next!
I like Dan and Nadiya together, I can't get bothered about either Nancy or Amy so won't miss them or their partners.
I do not get all the love for Aljaz , Sorry to say it-But he becomes more and more the gurning fool over each series.
I did feel like it was a goodbye speech from him,I also thought the same for Oti, I will miss her but hope they give Jowita a chance at a celeb partner-Luba is another I can do without.
I really hope it is Rose,John and AJ in the final-I would prefer John or Rose to win.( Can't choose)
I really like John he seems so down to earth and funny( Was not keen on Johannes but like him more this series, he is becoming more camp to me each week!-Love it!)
I do like Rose-she is hilarious, however I want her to win more for Gio then anything else-He really should have won with Debbie and Faye.

That was an awful result! And I hated his showdance.

They didn't win, probably because Faye was a ringer, but her and Giovanni's showdance was gorgeous, absolutely how it should be done. Most showdances are a disappointment but that one was spectacular.

Hope he can do something equally memorable with Rose.

Nope, she was a professional dancer and the director of a dance company. She seemed lovely but should never have been allowed to take part (see also the Pussycat Doll).

Completely agree about Motsi. She comes out with bland stuff like 'you really owned it' and 'of course there were a few mistakes' but never tells them what those mistakes were or how to improve! Compare with Anton who generally gives very clear and useful feedback. Motsi can be very funny and looks amazing but yes, rubbish judge

I actually think Motsi's judging has been better this year.

Before this year she always shouted and shrieked and said lots of words but, if you really listened, they didn't make much sense and certainly were usually not of any help to the couple.

This year she seems to be making some actual useful and sensible comments and the shrieking has calmed down a bit.

I would still like to see her replaced as a judge as I am just not that keen on her. I love Oti though and think she would make a great judge

Anton is a million times a better judge than Bruno. He is constructive and generally lovely. Sometimes funny. Not contrived falling off chair like Bruno.

I read an online article recently alleging that Craig has said it's not the same without Bruno and he wants him back for next year. I really hope that's not true, it would be pretty mean to Anton if Craig actually said that.

He probably can't win in this scenario, because if he'd have said he wants Anton to be permanent then the press would probably comment that he doesn't want Bruno back. He was likely just being kind to Bruno, I don't think I'd read to much into it.

Plus how can the BBC justify paying for weekly first class flights back and forward from USA? As that's what Bruno does. He couldn't in lockdown and I hope it stays that way.

I'd have thought the US production company pays for his flights especially given SCD was going before DWTS?

Also, is Nancy more of a 'West End' dancer than a solid ballroom and Latin pro like Anton, Ian, Matthew et al from back in the day?

James Jordan will NEVER get asked, he was basically sacked in that same way Brendan was, silently with no by your leave.

Sara had me tearing up a bit - they just seem to have such a close relationship.

Aljaž always seems to have a really good relationship with his partners every year but this year seems to have been that step further. Maybe it was that he was spending the week up North and spending so much time with Sara's family - he apparently became the star of the school run and all the mums were bringing them cakes and treats every day not that I can blame them; when Sara took breaks to go and make work calls she'd come back and have to tear Aljaž away from football with her boys; double dating with Sara's DH and Janette - but they just seem to be genuinely upset not to be able to spend time together every day.

I’ve never quite forgiven the Stricteratti for dropping JJ.
