New thread. I would link from the old one, but it got filled up with… well, I’m sure you can see.

@WomanStanleyWoman
I'm only 32 and I'd be off for a pasty...granted I'm also 38 weeks pregnant so probably would've been at Roy's the whole time!

WomanStanleyWoman · 04/11/2021 13:30

Has any Corrie character ever stood for election and not won?

I think only when they’ve been up against another character (e.g. Deirdre winning Alf’s seat on the council and Alf then winning it back in the next election)!

I’m not pregnant, but I think I’d be there with you too Grin

In the spirit of Corrie, I assume you’re planning to give birth in the back room of your local pub? Wink Or possibly whilst stuck in a lift with someone you’re currently feuding with?

Don't forget the back of a taxi or in a cable car.

RachelHasThoseInBurgundy · 04/11/2021 13:55

Has there ever been a Caesarian birth on Corrie? They’re all dramatic spontaneous and not in hospital aren’t they?

Whilst keeping your tights on!

Anyone remember Leanne's pregnant waddle? You've got to give that a go, @WishICouldButIDontWantTo. In fact you should have been doing it from week 14, like Leanne.

Legs apart, hand to the back, lean backwards, pinched face ... and duck walk.

RachelHasThoseInBurgundy · 04/11/2021 14:13

That is, hands down, the funniest ever pregnant woman walk on tv! She must have been doing it for a bet 😂

Gemma! Although she gave birth to 1/1.5 in cable car then had CS for the rest or Something pretty close.

The Quads should be scared only Amy is allowed both parents alive. Joseph has lost his mum but If I was Gemma I’d look twice before crossing the road!

RachelHasThoseInBurgundy · 04/11/2021 17:35

Oh yes! I’d forgotten about the quads. (Probably because we haven’t seen them since they were born! Grin)

Awwlookatmybabyspider · 04/11/2021 17:50

Tommy Duckworth born in 1992 was a ceaserean birth.

Arbitan · 04/11/2021 19:59

I have a suspicion that Curtis is a wrong ‘un and it’s all a con. I have no evidence for my groundless allegation but that’s my theory.

Me too. Why can't they just let Emma be happy?
PennyRoyal · 04/11/2021 20:15

I think we did see Curtis in a bed once with a Dr talking to him & Emma. But I can't remember what was said.
I can't quite see where this storyline is going. I hope he's not a wrong'un.

MyCatEatsPrawnCrackers · 04/11/2021 20:27

Here he is with a doctor.

Tana433 · 04/11/2021 20:33

I dont think Curtis is a wrong 'un. Unfortunately i just think it is going to be a really depressing storyline at Christmas. Young couple madly in love and then Curtis dies probably Christmas night if i had my guess. I know she is only playing a character but i love Emma. She is so sweet and innocent and hasnt got a bad bone in her body, i wish they would give her a happy storyline!

Honeyroar · 04/11/2021 21:46

Yes she has awful stories. She’d be a complete depressed mess in real life.

TrevorFountain · 04/11/2021 21:55

How in the name of Holy Ivy Tilsley do you remember that?! Impressive.
Keeping2ChevronsApart · 04/11/2021 22:35

What about the woman who was meeting him early on? Wasn't she done sort of sponsor from Dodgy Hearts Anonymous?

eggandonion · 04/11/2021 23:17

There's something fishy about him. Tracey will sort it or our Amy.

darklindor · 05/11/2021 07:47

Tracey is evolving nicely into Ena Sharples.

Akire · 05/11/2021 08:53

We never seen him in appointment though, all we heard is doctor saying you are ok you can go home. none of the A&E staff seem to know him nor does he say I’ve got XYZ I’m under Dr heart specialist it’s always I’ve got chest pain. Which course going hook him up check him out. Can’t work out why the support group though. Would been better just give him something that has a name and we can concentrate more on story than working out what he is up to.

Agree with Xmas story it’s going be the day after or before the last thing on his bucket list!!

eggandonion · 05/11/2021 11:51

Maybe he will be cured at Christmas.
Its odd we don't see him with a doctor, people are always wandering around the hospital. Without masks

Deadringer · 05/11/2021 12:35

Curtis is definitely fishy, i said it the first time i saw him.

Shellingbynight · 05/11/2021 12:46

I agree Akire, if he went into A&E with chest pain he would tell the nurse he's a cardiac patient under Dr Whoever. But this is Corrie where they never do anything logical, so it may just be poor plotting.

I hope Curtis gets found out (assuming he is dodgy) before Emma marries him. Actually it's bound to be ON her wedding day isn't it, silly me.

Tracey has developed into a really good character. I used to dislike her (and find the acting quite iffy) but she has really grown on me. Last year she was the least annoying person in the Oliver storyline.
