How crass was Steve shouting across the cafe as Daniel walked in and asking if he ever had regrets marrying Sinead as she was terminally ill, it really jarred it was so disrespectful, in Corrie of old It would have been treated with quiet sensitivity, not shouted across the cafe whilst the widower was getting a bacon barm.

In Classic Corrie yesterday Kev and Alison went out for a meal away from the street and I'm sure tablecloths were involved there. Nowadays they'd walk three steps to the Bistro. I suppose it makes sense to use the sets they've already got but it makes the world of Corrie so small and insular. And have we ever seen Freshco's? Back in the day we'd see various street folk popping into Bettabuys.
