I wouldn't agree with that. There's nothing wrong with then bonding with their friends. Bec was out of order when she berated Jake for going out with the boys instead if staying home with her and her sour face.

I'm not sure what the problem of men having friends outside their relationship is.

@GreenLunchBox it's of course fine in a normal relationship, but as part of this experiment a few of them are making more effort with their mates than their OHs

I don't like Bryce, but I don't like the whole thing of somebody being mean to you like you're still at school being bullied. I don't blame him for leaving. I would too. Actually, tbh if there were no cameras and it wasn't a work situation I wouldn't leave until I had torn a new one off my opponent.

I dislike ManSam even though I dislike Bryce deeply. Bryce looked really uncomfortable as it wasn’t necessary to go back over all that. Bloody Patrick again, all cocky on the back of his Belinda conquest.

ManSam is a vile bully- and those other boys appear to say nothing about it. He doesn't know much about Bryce- just dislikes him without knowing what we know about him- so calling him names like Gonzo is actually pathetic. ManSam is pathetic.

Agree. I thought it was good of James to try to bring Sam’s tirade up to a fair discussion and also good of Jason and Johnny to go out to him. I wanted them to go to a different bar with him even though I really dislike Bryce. I hate seeing someone bullied like that.

Latecomer here. Thought the men should have calmed down the Sam Bryce situation. Pat and Jake did the opposite. Wound Sam up. Awful behaviour. Good on James for trying to calm things but more could have been achieved if the others had joined in. Disappointed with
Jake for being part of the wind up. Shameful situation. Horrified that the producers have allowed the Bryce Melissa situation. Knowingly letting Melissa get hurt like that , encouraging the deception.

I don’t have any sympathy for Bryce, he is intentionally controlling and ruining Melissa for his own ego and has no morals. He is abusive, he should come with a government warning stamped on his forehead “this man will demoralise, gaslight, isolate and control any woman he gets involved with, if you come into close contact with this man please seek counselling”. If the worst thing that has happened is other people noticing, addressing it and calling him Gonzo, well he has so far got off very lightly IMHO.

I have even less sympathy for Bryce than I did before. I thought he was bad enough before but now he has an actual girlfriend he is stringing along whilst at the same time allowing Melissa to believe he is falling in love and contemplating a future with her? It is not only abusive, it's unbelievable. I think he is a sociopath.

And the programme has a duty of care towards poor Melissa. She has neem treated so badly by them all.

So surely Bryce will say he was just covering his bets, and Canberra-girl will be gone as he wants to be with Melissa now, as he is faaaaalling for her.

Totally agree! His poor parents must be mortified, I bet they didn't bring him up like that!

I'm a day behind at the minute having just watched Monday's episode on my lunch break. I had to comemhere to see what you were all saying about Pat and Belinda. To the poster who said they make her wince, I'm with you. I physically cringe at them. Well, at Pat really. The way he talks just make me recoil. And the emphasis that is constantly put on "intimacy". Ugh. Of I were Belinda I couldn't have enjoyed the evening knowing what was being expected of me at the end of it. In the bath. Ugh. Stop. I don't know what it is about them but I just find them so difficult to watch 🙈

I agree with this tbh. Yes ManSam is a twat and the pack mentality isn’t great but honestly it would be a struggle to even tolerate being near Bryce.
