I'm setting it up a bit early, because I don't think I'll be able to watch live, and the previous thread is almost at an end. Check over there first to see if it's still going before posting on this one.

@AppleKatie - has AJ been on The Wheel twice? Coincidentally watched it earlier today and there was no mention of Suffragettes in the show😀

Is this the worst series ever? There hasn't been one stand out dance.

Rose is a lovely dancer and I hope she wins but compared to other years she's not outstanding.

I hope Rose wins, so lovely to see that people have warmed to her. Remember Maisie Smith? She was amazing but didn't get the popular vote.

How would anyone post spoilers though? The second show isn't aired until tomorrow, so unless you're a member of the production crew it would only ever be a guess, surely?

There are moles. The result is always out before midnight on a Saturday if you know where to look. The only issue recently has been COVID. Sometimes we know who the bottom 2 are but need to wait a bit for a proper confirmed result. No audience makes it a little harder in these times.

I thought they had some input sometimes and choose the overall style of the dance? But I might be wrong. I'm sure some pros have choreographed their couples choice.. I think it depends which style they go for whether they get outside help or not..

I voted for Rose, AJ and Dan - I really enjoyed Dan's dance, he made me smile. If I had a 4th vote, id have given that to Tilly as did enjoy hers too.

J&J are just very boring now - I'm tired I'd watching them as there's just no IT factor for me. I'm sure they're safe, but id love them to be in the dance off to create a bit of excitement.

I reckon Sara and Judi in the DO but Adam could be in trouble too. (I'm obviously hoping not Dan as I voted for him). I'm not a fan of Rhys, but hope he's given a break from the DO this week.

Can’t remember who commented but that God figure in the opening dance was meant to be Saruman I think from Lord of the Rings.

I'm finding the weaker or more variable contestants like Judi and Sara more entertaining than the mid-range like Tom. They have shown clear progress from the start and I'd like to see a few more weeks entertainment from them.

Tilly's growing on me and I thought she danced very clearly and had a more realistic score tonight. Some weeks she's been massively overscored compared to others. I thought the look rather suited her Some of the ball gowns have been quite heavy and overwhelming on her, and tonights oufit showed her form better.

I don't think the lighting and costume helped J&J this week, I found it hard to follow, but I usually enjoy their dances.
Rhys has great potential but needs to be refining his technique. He falls in that gap of not being top of a leaderboard, but should be safe for a while yet hence not being a priority for votes.

AJ's great (I'm still recovering from her incredible legs last week), but I love the way Rose is so engrossed in her dances, and is strong across the different types.

That's true @BogRollBOGOF - I prefer Judi and Sara to Tom also (I'd forgotten he was even there when I last commented!). I'd like them both and Tilly to stay in for another couple of weeks.

Agree. I said the same to dd, their costumes overpowered the dance. I'd have liked to see them do that quickstep in just plain suits, I might have enjoyed it more.

Can't believe Judi was above Sara on the leaderboard, even though I really disliked Sara's dance. Judi's feet barely moved. I think they both should be in the dance off.

Yeh its not as gripping as other years. Its lacking personalities, its all playing on emotions. Its missing the Brendans, the bit of fight with the judges. Too competitive but nice. They need a sturdier presenter rather than Tess. (Lovely looking as she is) Shirley and Motsi are blah. Craig needs to go back to a few years ago. Its just a bit meh.

Agree about the J&J lighting in fact, they always seem to be dancing in the dark. Maybe that should be their next song.

There's just something about Kai...tonight he reminded me of Alexander Dreymon. 😍 AJ looked gorgeous. And I would kill for Tilly's legs. Beautiful.

Very, very few WOW moments this year

And perhaps One dance that has stood out per show.

Rose and Gio have now had 3, Movie Week, Falling and tonight. Thats why they will win

J and J started off great but their routines have become very samey.

I just have to share this comment from another forum (are we allowed to name other forums on here?). It had me in stitches (and is so true ...)

Still trying to work out what Sara’s CC was exactly - I don’t like the new format of CC as it’s difficult to judge and work out the meaning of it. It’s contradictory as the whole point of CC is to have a story and what you want to tell in the dance - but how can you have that with zero kind of theme and free styling it! Sara was telling us how much she loves her family and how supportive they are but her dance told me on weekends you can probably find her in Soho walking on men for fun…

Speaking personally :

Desire to know favourite is safe
Impatience
Poor impulse control

And also, I've been watching Strictly since Series 1. There used to be a 10-15 minute result show same night. The hour long Sunday happened to compete with X Factor, it was always unnecessary, even more so now, I hate the way they pretend its Sunday when we all know its not and it STILL pisses me oft.

Let the audience find out live exactly when the contestants do, or dont bother, so thats why I check it
