Also left as to the Adam Peaty adulation, couldn't see it even in week 1. I like a pretty boy but Adam's left me as cold as Thom Evans did; and if he wins on the back of ovary-voting it will be even worse than when Louis Smith took the title (albeit at least he had talent and has really worked on his dancing since too).
Adam's ccc was overmarked, his QS was crap and he knew it too (hence the Luther Vandross/Broadcast News levels of sweat), his Blue Man Group rumba was obscured by the theming (did have some sympathy there) and his AT was all some clumsy lifts, little tango.
He really needs to up his game.

That said, I still think Bill last year got bloody lucky with a shorter series and less slebs, along with a couple of very good routines because when you consider his tango, his AT and his avoidance of salsa/samba/rumba/waltz and VW; the win really was based on what we saw in the final. His AS and jive weren't that great.

Harvey was robbed last year. I loved Bill but Harvey & Jeanette were brilliant by the end!

I honestly thought Bill might go out in his Tango, I didn't vote for him that week.

I think he had established a lot of goodwill by then.

Checking in for tonight, but not really feeling the tracklist and the amount of Rumbas. I think it is going to be a bit limp like last week, with some not so great dancing and weird marking. I expect J&J will be top this week as their sort of dance usually scores well and the others have low scoring dances to not so great songs.

I hope to be pleasantly surprised though!

I loved Bill. I knew he wasn't the best dancer but 1. I love Oti and 2. I loved how seriously he took it, how he worked hard and I think he's just a top bloke, so he got all of my votes, all of the time. That said I remember that in the final I would have been happy for anyone to win, although I can no longer remember who all the finalists were.
