set in Denmark, a female and male cop are put together (against her will initially) to solve some gruesome murders.
It's very good, has a Halloween horror type feel to it but is not too grizzly for those of you who are a bit squeamish (like me!)

I have just finished When the Dust Settles and it is a more than worthy follow up for the Chestnut Man.

It's about a terrorist shooting in a Copenhagen restaurant- build up very slow as a group of random characters are gradually introduced- the story starts prior to the attack and shows the aftermath.
It is very moving and well-acted and I cried buckets.
Well worth it.

Many hours ago, I saw this thread when I was looking for something to watch. Now there is thumping in the bathtub...

See what you all did?

DoubleTweenQueen · 14/11/2021 21:38

@SilverTonguedDevil Just finished a belated binge. Really enjoyed it, and love the two leads. Thanks again! 💐

Am now going to check out the other great tips in this thread. Have found my people :D

I'm loving it but why does it have to be so dark! I can hardly see what's happening!

Zog14 · 16/11/2021 01:19

This was excellent, just watched over 3 days. It’s been awhile since a series has had my heart pounding so loudly! The final episode was edge of the seat stuff. Hope it was setting up for a 2nd series. . .

MrsLargeEmbodied · 17/11/2021 06:16

eventually finished, not sure how they came across the house
not sure of the relevance of the man being released from prison

LazyMareofEastown · 17/11/2021 10:53

I really enjoyed The Chesnut Man but kinda ruined it for myself and for DP by recognising the actor who played the killer (he's super busy at the minute - star definitely on the ascent iyswim) so knew he wasn't going to "just" be playing the forensic guy. Guessed that he was the killer almost immediately 😐.

Currently watching The Valhalla Murders which is good but so far very formulaic.

Skinnyjeansandsidepart · 17/11/2021 11:18

I’ve had this on my must watch list for a while - but I’m a bit of a wimp! I can watch things like Squid Games, but am not good with supernatural or big ‘make you jump’ scenes… do you think I’d be ok with this?

… or will I be sleeping with the lights on until Christmas Grin

AuntieMarys · 17/11/2021 11:23

It's excellent. We need more like this.

Tomthumbsbigbum · 25/11/2021 21:53

This thread needs 'contains spoilers ' in the title. May as well not bother watching the rest 🤦‍♀️

MrsLargeEmbodied · 26/11/2021 20:15

but the thread was started on 4th october.
