Old thread filled, hope nobody minds!

LIZS Daniel's video was mentioned in Hollyoaks- but I don't think we actually got to see it. Mercifully.

'Going viral' is getting said a lot, and is getting on my nerves.

I went to a university in the middle of Wales that was impossible to get to (barely any public transport) and took nearly 3 hours by car from Manchester. It was a deliberate decision .

My second choice was Salford, which is far too close, and would have been a disaster. (But where my niece went).

LIZS they probably have- all the hideous blouses, and Val's Demis Roussos tent from Monday are probably vintage from somewhere, but they 'saving the planet'.

I'm not really taking it very seriously. There is a point at which things become overkill.

The minute we see Zara in something floaty and floral, and not wearing her louboutins, we will know Doctors has lost the plot.

I actually quite like Val's dress tomorrow.

Didn’t it say in the press release that someone from Doctors (obviously now Daniel) would be appearing in Corrie?

I hope so just to lift the gloom and doom of Weatherfield.

MyCat I did indeed . No-one has ever hear of it (I usually say I went somewhere near Aberytswyth- although that is 27 miles away!). 31 years ago, there were only 800 students- sadly there are even fewer now.

It's very remote, and would not be everyone's cup of tea- but I loved it.

I went to Bangor although I did consider Lampeter at one point.

I love Wales. Never learnt Welsh though- the Welsh friend I met there on my first day convinced me to do Swedish in my first year instead!

It is rare to find an English person who speaks Swedish. I once went to Sweden with an English friend who speaks it and no one could believe it.

Luca is so bloody annoying at the moment. There is another student in an unfeasibly large house. Another middle aged woman being portrayed as an interfering battleaxe. Zara is in uber bitch mode. And yet I'm enjoying it today.

I knew about the grapefruit thing

Well, I barely speak Swedish now - but I can pronounce things in Ikea properly. .

I vaguely remembered about the grapefruit thing due to medication I've taken in the past- but I didn't put 2 and 2 together until Al said it- but I had a feeling the juice was something to do with it, just couldnt think why.

I'm really annoyed at how they are portraying Luca now.

I didn't realise it was grapefruit juice she was drinking. I did know that grapefruit has an effect on some medicines as my mum can't have it due to being on atorvastatin I think. I hate it so I don't mind not being able to have it! I didn't mind today's episode too much but I wouldn't go so far as to say I enjoyed it. The attitude of the other staff to Valerie sometimes annoys me - yes she's kooky and gets involved in mad schemes but there's sometimes sneering and a feeling of never mind, it's only Valerie. Like why didn't Luca apologise?

I enjoyed it much more today. Knew the grapefruit thing (don't do drugs and grapefruit kids). Really feel sorry for Valerie - hardly anyone turned up and the ones that did were mean.

Yes, Val can be annoying but they do treat her badly, her heart's in the right place and she is generous. No way Luca and Emma should have been snooping like they have.

V excited as ds has a f2f Dr appt this arvo and I’ll be meeting him there after school. Will there be any Doctors-like shenanigans? I doubt it 😆

I'm annoyed really by the whole Valerie thing though, because the reason it didn't work out with her and Nathan was because she wanted to 'find herself' and see the world, after hitting 50. And he was a homebody. Or so she said.

Only, she's not (apart from the brief campervan trip) - she's just marrying herself and staying at the Mill.

Getting a new cat would have made much more sense in terms of Valerie getting on with life and being happy. She doesn't need to get married, to herself or anyone.

Probably wouldn't have fit the climate change friendly brief for this week, though. Not sure what the carbon footprint of a cat is? .

I've also discovered that the previous sologamy episode was almost exactly a year a go, in the middle of last November- and they were off air for ages over Christmas- so it's not even like they have gone back to an 'old' idea either.

Where is Joe these days? Zara and Daniel are spending loads of time doing other stuff- and never mention him. Any other time, Zara would have had Joe designing an amazing climate change poster or something.

doctors you are right. I forget that Doctors is just ...rubbish.

Daniel should really have got the video checked over before clicking the button to 'send it viral' .

Er- Daniel- Al hasn't upset Keith. They are friends, with things in common.
