It was rubbish wasn't it? And yes KingsleyShacklebolt I am tired beyond belief of non-binary/trans stuff but the subtitles made me laugh. Instead of saying they groaned about Mx Stafford it said he groaned! I did vaguely recognise the Eastenders character even though I don't watch it but had to Google it just to be sure! I am intrigued about what's going on with Valerie though

I haven't watched today's Doctors but my DD is here for dinner and was watching Hollyoaks.
My ears pricked up when they said Dr Grainger from Letherbridge. Apparently they showed a photo of Daniel in his environmental get up costume ( I was reading at the same time so I only heard, not saw)

I watched today and I think Doctors is going through a docudrama phase - which is fine if it's some interesting medical condition. I may have missed it but was there anything even vaguely medical in today's show?

Arthritis I think. The non binary old person was visited by Karen in a VPAS capacity but it turned out they weren't coming to the surgery for fear of being judged. Their medical condition wasn't massively interesting at all, or touched on much.

I don't mind if they have one or two non-medical plotlines going on so long as they stick to the format of one main "patient of the day" or go completely off track and have a team-building event. This episode did neither. They could have done something far better for the Cop26 storyline, the stolen bike thread is ludicrous and the n-b character was just shoehorned in to tick another diversity box.

I don't know what is going on with Val but didn't she have an odd storyline last year where she was planning a wedding day for herself? I'm sure I remember a very cynical wedding photographer/stylist targeting lonely ladies

Yes, I vaguely remember that rather far-fetched storyline, didn't know it was Valerie then, though ... the current wedding planning activities along with her protestations that she doesn't need anyone else reminded me of that episode.

Susie I haven't watched yesterday's -in fact, i'm just catching up now.

But I did watch Hollyoaks/Holby/Eastenders - and found the climate change /soap crossover stuff really tedious and shoe horned in an clunky. Having them reference each other makes no sense, and sound s odd.

It isn't telling me anything useful about climate change, I'm finding it preachy and patronising, and it's giving me the urge to take a load of plastic tat to the tip. not really.
