Anton just was not the worlds most unlucky man year in year out, he either could not teach or could not be arsed to.

Well, that has pissed on my chips.
Nina didn't deserve to be there.
Greg's back story made it impossible to mark impartially, what was essentially Dad dancing.
I won't join in the Neil pile-on, because I think had he done comedy, we'd all have said what a waste of talent. Nor is he the first to add some AT to a tango. But I do think the narrative of that tango was as disastrous as Alex's and he should have simplified the routine for Nina.
I also think Craig marking up Rob in week one and Judi week two for 'entertainment' is a choice, but not one that he ever used to do, unless he is already eyeing up routines for his tour next year.
Nina wuz robbed and now I have to sit through Greg as 007 rather than a Bollywood bangra couple's choice. I am sulking (less so if it turned out Jai Ho would have been recycled or another theme entirely). Instead Kermit the bloody frog. Insane (they would have been better off in legwarmers to Maniac than kids' dress-up. Diane is banking on kiddies' vote that Janette had as a flaming pokemon. Good luck with that). Plus it's been done on DWTS, albeit without noses or green face.

Not sure who should’ve gone this week but I do feel sorry for Neil and Nina and would have liked them to stay longer
I like Neil personally he’s a fantastic choreographer and dances as well as the others

Going against the grain here. I preferred Katie's jive to Nina's tango.

Anton struggled to teach Latin but when he became the safe pair of hands/nice journeyman, he was given more than his fair share of duffers hence using comedy as a last resort. At least 9 of his partners, anyone else would also have struggled massively with.

Ah ok, I just assume that due to quite a lot of flicky legs it was Argentine, but yes thinking about it now it was a tango wasn't it. Fair enough, her dances weren't too harsh then. I liked her samba. I do feel for her as she was clearly disappointed.

I very much doubt that Dianne has had much say in the Muppet decision. From series 8 onwards the pros have had less influence on that kind of thing. I remember Tristan saying that it was hard taking criticism for bad creative ideas that weren't yours in the first place.

On a side note though, I'm glad Gorka was saved!

I also think that had Shirley saved Nina (the eldest female sleb this year) over a much younger Katie, there'd be pitchforks for that too so no-one wins tbf. Nina has some dance background, had had a good week, week one, and so it must have been a bit of a shock to fall so fast.
I am also not sure that the leader board really allows so much of a leap, short of miraculous, in the early weeks even with a range of 4 -14. She would have to have been a fan favourite to get out of the DO based on some dodgy maths I did on a napkin just now

Yes but Dev got through movie week - it was a red suited cha cha to not so memorable music that did for him the following week iirc

I've just caught up. Katie was out of time with Gorka, enough for even DP to notice. I would have saved Nina.

Gutted for Nina! I really thought that Greg would be in the bottom two though.

I'm not a huge fan of Katie. I loved her in Waterloo Road, never watched Corrie but can't stand her in Hollyoaks.

She constantly has a face as if someone has walked into her house on Christmas Day and pissed on her kids.

She had a very moany Minnie role in Corrie. She was written out/ left after a cancer storyline which ended in her death. I no longer watch the soaps, but I did wonder was she a strong enough character to carry such a storyline.

Anyway she lives to fight another week in Strictly!

I wasn't totally surprised to see Katie in the bottom 2 (it was a bit boring and she went early on); I think she does have potential if she can channel it in time. She looked very unhappy waiting to hear her name called.

Dubious about some choices for next week. We shall see.

Gutted that Katie was saved. I couldn’t take to her characters in Waterloo Road, or Coronation Street and now I haven’t taken to the ‘real’ her. I just find her a bit annoying.

I love Nina so I am sad to see her go and Katie stay.

I find graziano a bit ott with Judi ! He was almost in tears after they got saved as was she.

I'm really not a fan of Diane. She is too elbowy and frantic and always does the silly comedic crap.
Too immature for my liking.

I feel bad for Nina, I preferred her over katie but both weren't great. I doubt Katie will go much further anyway though

I also like Neil and have never understood the negativity towards him on this thread. Perhaps it’s down to some latent anti ginger bias...

I think the wrong couple went: I like Nina and though she had potential...and I love Neil: don't get the hate...

All I can say is I'm glad Graziano has been saved because he is fit and a reason I will be tuning in every week.

I wish he would cut his hair and just have one earring in. He looks a bit like a pirate at the moment. But his height, face and body is 👌🏼
