Yeah agree ditch neil

StormyCornishSeas · 03/10/2021 20:00

@teenmumandsowhat

Perhaps next year they might bench Neil again and give the 3rd new male pro Cameron? A shot?
Or the chap who was dancing with Lubba earlier perhaps
JadeSeahorse · 03/10/2021 20:00

@SimonJT she certainly does!

She was only 19 when it was made - she's 20 now - writes all her own material at home and makes all her stage clothes including her Brits dress!
I think the documentary - or part of it - is on YouTube. Honestly, if you like Griff you will love it.

I think she is the best British female singer at present by a mile!

EvilRingahBitch · 03/10/2021 20:00

Desperate for Ugo to do You're Welcome, but as a classic foxtrot not a Couple's Choice. Surely not Shiny? I think there's a more street commercial version of You're Welcome which they'll probably go for.

We saw the rehearsals at the Brits this year, she was great, she is also tiny. I might give it a watch.

God glad Neil gone, she’d have stayed if she had a different pro. I cannot stomach him

GreenClock · 03/10/2021 20:08

No obvious dunce in this series so it could’ve been anyone leaving. Nina was just unlucky.

I think that Katie will pick up votes next weekend. I hope that Robert will be safe despite the comedy act he’ll inevitably end up putting on.

Lampzade · 03/10/2021 20:09

Definitely need to bench Neil. He’s just not good enough to be a pro
Poor Nina, she would have been fantastic with someone like Alijaz.

EineReiseDurchDieZeit · 03/10/2021 20:10

@EvilRingahBitch

Might they do How Far I'll Go.

It's be really good if they did a majority percussive one

OnTheBoardwalk · 03/10/2021 20:10

Not come across Griff before obvs not her target market but really enjoyed her performance, despite being worried for her up there

What really annoyed me was all the whooping, shouting and cheering whilst she was performing. Quiet please!

Gutted about Nina. Another vote for Nina and Gorka to stay. Neil really shouldn’t be with a professional

Coldbit · 03/10/2021 20:12

I thought it might be Nina in the bottom two this week as she doesn't have an obvious fanbase (I don't remember seeing her in anything post Eastenders?) This series is growing on me slowly but I remain puzzled by Motsi's hair.

Can I ask why you don't think he's good enough to be a pro? I think he's just not had the best luck so far with partners, I'd love to see him with a ringer. I think he did a fantastic job with Alex to get her so far as a complete non dancer, it was just unfortunate he had an injury.

I do like Neil though, and don't understand all the hate! I know James Jordan has said in the past he thinks Neil is the best dancer by far on the show, I think he also has the most trophies for dance competitions.

Runningupthecurtains · 03/10/2021 20:16

@PrincessScarlett

Neil was really shown up when he partnered Alex Scott a couple of years back and Kevin had to stand in for him when he got injured. Alex danced so much better with Kevin.
I know he wasn't popular in these parts but I think Kev was great teacher and knew how to show of his partner well. With Susan he did light-hearted without being gimmicky and making her a joke.
cricketmum84 · 03/10/2021 20:16

Gutted for Nina! I really thought that Greg would be in the bottom two though.

I'm not a huge fan of Katie. I loved her in Waterloo Road, never watched Corrie but can't stand her in Hollyoaks.

She constantly has a face as if someone has walked into her house on Christmas Day and pissed on her kids.

FuzzyPuffling · 03/10/2021 20:20

I like Neil and thought that Grif was awful.
Controversial, but just my opinion!

bibliomania · 03/10/2021 20:20

Shame for Nina. I think the dress, music and choreography all let her down. She didn't get to show what she was capable of.

EsmaCannonball · 03/10/2021 20:21

Comedy routines come in for a lot of flak but, if the celeb can pull them off, they can wind assist someone through the competition (see Ruth Langsford for details). Nina is primarily known as a comedy actress and I can't help think that a Peter Sellers and Sophia Loren inspired samba to Goodness Gracious Me or a camp tango to an ABBA song might have helped her stick in the viewers' memory more than two rather angry, nothingy routines. She didn't deserve a Week Two boot, but, then again, no-one did this year.

PrincessScarlett · 03/10/2021 20:21

@Runningupthecurtains yes I think this is the problem Neil has. Yes he's a great dancer but he's not very good at showing off the celebs he dances with, which Kevin was always fantastic at.

FitYeDaeinYeMadRadge · 03/10/2021 20:22

cricketmum84 agreed. Thought she looked a bit hard faced at points.

OnTheBoardwalk · 03/10/2021 20:23

The first series Neil was in I remember him out dancing Alex all the time. He had her stood there while he performed around her

It was shown after she paired with KFG that she was a really good dancer, he just wanted to show off his own 'skills'

Clawdy · 03/10/2021 20:25

Wish Nina had stayed, she was lovely. Katie is irritating. Such a shame to have to do the final dance all alone, when the other dancers used to gather round the couple and hug them.

OverByYer · 03/10/2021 20:27

Ahhh I didn’t want Nina to go, I loved her routine last week but this tango was so joyless. I still preferred it to Katie’s though.

Thecurliestwurly · 03/10/2021 20:27

Gutted for Nina - she had lots of potential. Why the bloody hell did they give her a samba and an Argentine tango in the first two weeks? Really harsh and feels like they set her up to go first a bit. I think they messed up there by giving her those two dances.

EsmaCannonball · 03/10/2021 20:31

There was a week when Gorka stepped in for an unwell Brendan and you could see that Anastacia was so much happier dancing with him. It was her best performance.

I thought it was supposed to be a normal tango
