Nadia is like a whimsical nymph-fairy just twirling and dancing around her partners. Every image in my head of Nadia over the years is her just prancing around. But she is gorgeous

Why did they keep mentioning Gordon Ramsay? It was almost like all the "celebrities" they had dancing weren't real ones and he was the best thing they'd ever seen.

I've not got to the bit yet but Gordon Ramsay is pretty fucking famous. I'd be excited to see him rather than any of the celebs dancing on the show!

Nadiya has a lovely rapport with Dan(iel) this year, so willing them to go far. or she has finally learned how to play the game
I hope so polka as she was done dirty, given the death slot and I love her. I also want a Bollywood movie week number and liked her gusto in the tango even if technical was poor - many others were poor in that department, who were overmarked.

I am so sad for Nina this week after her brave performance last week. I really think she deserves to go further but likely will be in the bottom two. Can't bear Neil. Loved Rose- she has infectious enthusiasm- and AJ.Rhys was v laboured. Good for Sara and Tilly for that massive improvement, though I still think Tilly is v lumpy. The rest were mostly meh.

Anyone else think the wardrobe was particularly bad last night? Katya's urine yellow tummy baring pantsuit? Ditto Oti's ugly pantsuit. Sara is always dressed like she is 50. Katie had this inexplicably unflattering high necked burgundy top. Most of the women looked terrible except for Dianne's red number.

Not that she was big before but Tilly has lost so much weight over a week. Perhaps I need a week of dancing. I enjoyed her dance. Think they kept going to Gordon as he was crying. Glad Sarah had a better week.

Just caught up….

I really enjoyed Tilly’s dance, I think she did really well.

I can’t eat to Katie and I find her dances easily forgettable.

Loved Rose and Gino - she can really move and he’s just yummy.

Didn’t think Greg was particularly good last night though I was very moved by the story about his sister.

Judi was hilarious - that woman’s got some body confidence!!

I liked Sara’s number…..but I think that’s probably because I really liked the song rather than enjoyed the dance.

I liked Oti and Ugi but I don’t think they’ll go far.

I think I have crushes forming on Nikita and Kai - loving the new guys!!

And as for why they keep mentioning Gordon, well he’s more famous than any of the contestants, more famous than any of the Pro’s, more famous than the hosts and more famous than the judges! So definitely worth some screen time!!

Can't stand Gordon R, and certainly don't want to see him feigning tears in the audience each week. Think quite a lot of people dislike him!

I don't think he was feigning them.

Does anyone else think that Gorka and Katie are really struggling to bond? I thought that last night he seemed to have done that thing the pros sometimes do where they dance round their celeb, showcasing themselves rather than the celeb, to make the routine look stronger.

It was noticeable in contrast to those dances where the pro had the celeb begin by themselves, like Nancy and Rhys, for example.

I feel that many of the pros seem to have bonded really quickly with the celeb and I just don't get that vibe from Katie and Gorka. It's also an awkward looking partnership because she's a little bit too large next to him (thinking about him with Maisie last year, who was tiny). It sometimes seems difficult to pair him because of his height.

Love the way Giovanni is bonding with Rose, and his efforts to learn some signing. Apart from that disastrous pairing with Laura Whitmore, he really seems like an excellent teacher. And really liking Karen's work with Greg too - in the past, I've found her a bit frenetic but this year she seems to have really settled down.

Rumours are that Katie is struggling badly with Hollyoaks filming schedules. That might explain that strange VT which consisted almost entirely of Gorka on his own demonstrating basic Jive steps.

I am loving Anton as a judge. Sensible comments, some helpful advise and pretty sensible scoring.

Motsi seems much better this year. At last making some sensible comments and not shrieking quite so much. It does annoy me though when her and Shirley are dancing around when they are meant to be concentrating on the dancing. I do think they both like to make it "all about them".

I thought Motsi's hair looked like one of those dolls I had when I was little where a section of her hair comes out of the top of her head and you can make it grow. I didn't like it at all.

For me the worst dance was Judi. I don't really want to see twerking on strictly (yes I know Jake Wood did it and I hated it then) and I definitely don't want to see her knickers.

Can't take to Ugo and not sure why. To me he seems a bit creepy/slimy. Did anyone else notice that he sat with his arm round Oti? I don't see why

To be fair, there were no spoilers at 5 to ten on Saturday night. I have checked this morning and there still seems to be no definite spoiler on Digital Spy (dont know about twitter)

Yep it was Cha Cha or waltz on the opening week in the early years. I wish they would go back to that. (I remember when it was all fields round here old gimmer that I am).

She looked like she hadn't put the work in, seemed clumsy and lacked choreography. She seemed self-conscious. Without doubt her outfit did her no favours, it was hideous, unflattering and the worst one of the night - and that's saying something.

can't warm to Tilley. don't like the actor guy.
think the show is too long. by the end I had totally forgotten the guy who danced first.

Watched last night but on catch up. The scoring is crazy this year! I mean, Tilly's Charleston was pretty good but it was no way a 9 - and certainly not in week two.

Some dancers really improved this week though - especially Robert & Sara.

Greg's story about his sister was very moving but it affected his scores. He just wasn't that good IMHO.

I’m with you @Runningupthecurtains! I get they don’t want it to be to “samey” but for goodness sake let them get the fundamentals (as Shirley would say) under their belts to start with. Salsa, American Smooth, Argentine Tango, Charleston, Couples Choice, etc should not make an appearance until Week 6 at least!

The first 2 weeks at least should be restricted to Cha Cha, Rumba, Waltz and Quickstep only

It was very late by the time I finished watching last night so took myself straight off to bed. My summary:

Lots of over-marking
Great judging/comments from Anton
AJ the standout so far

I get they don’t want it to be to “samey” but for goodness sake let them get the fundamentals (as Shirley would say) under their belts to start with.

I would much rather have a bit of samey with only two (or at a push four) dances but be able to make a decent comparison than be left wondering if X celeb is actually any good or just looked bad because they were lumbered with a tough dance. Or if Y celeb has deliberately dodged Latin because they are hopeless at it. If everyone has done a Cha Cha and waltz it's a lot easier to make a straight up comparison than trying to compare across ten different dances especially if some couples have dodged one style completely.

Does anyone else find the bit with Claudia after the dance really boring ! She says such banal things and I'm not interested in seeing friends and family at home watching !!
