I found that episode a bit disappointing....all staying together despite the issues. I thought if Morag really loved Luke she should have let him go....he isn't what she wanted. He will never really know why they are together. Isn't there a saying about if you love it let it go, if it comes back then it loves you too....or something along those lines.

I will watch the after show but am more keen to see the reunion.

I think there is so much of Josh and Amy we haven't seen. She's a sports presenter but we have never once heard them talking sport, or seen them watching sport together or playing sports....Maybe it's little (massive ) things like that they don't show which make them compatible.....Of course Josh may hate sports....I'm just supposing.

It should not be called Married at First Sight as they aren't. Adam's proposal made that clear. If it was about getting into a relationship, living together, dates, then deciding to stay committed fair enough. All of them seem to be getting something out of their relationship for now. Some shouldn't last. Like Luke who wants kids, and Josh who doesn't want high maintenence forever... I don't believe in Adam and Tayah at all. Have they ever said one thing they actually like about each other? Or just 'she/he's amazing'... ?

Agree @Notdoingthis - glad it's over. That finale was hugely anti climatic.

For me it was a bit like watching a crappy movie. You don't really care about the majority of the characters but sure it's nearly over so you might as well see it out. Then the last five minutes fall flat and the conclusion is: bad movie, worse ending, waste of time. That's my review anyway.

I'm glad its over too and I'm not particularly interested in how any of them turn out. It's too scripted like a drama and they're all influencer wannabees. Yuck.

All I've really taken from watching this is that the Experts do a terrible job. I don't really believe in any of the couples apart from Matt and Dan and they have the Norn Iron issue to work round and the age gap re. having children.

Amy and Josh would be good together if they didn't also have a massive age gap. I think Amy could quite rightly be absolutely furious with the experts for setting her up in this situation.

Again, Marylise and Franky - one of them had to make a huge life-changing decision off the back of the experiment so that was a bad match there too.

Tayah and Adam - nah. Too much too soon. And look at her gorgeous, luxurious family home. Telling me that princess is going to be happy in Doncaster?

I don't hate Morag as much as some of you and I've said before that I do see a lot of them having a proper laugh together. She's just got the wrong attitude - she thinks she can change Luke to be more like her ideal man, whereas she should change her idea of what an ideal man is. As Luke said "I am not the man she ordered but I am the man she deserves". I think they are staying together cos they're not quite ready to end it yet, maybe feeling see what it's like to be together in real life, but come to an end it will.

Star of the show last night was Tayah's Mum again and Luke's dog! I would so love to have a seen a reaction to Tayah's outfit from her mother.

Ooo analysing Luke's insta... barely anything about Morag. A lot of his pictures are with the lads and his stories are about his mum and his dog (I mean they are both amazing!). Luke has also said don't forget that Mondays reunion is the final episode. I'm wondering whether that is hinting for an end with Morag....

I haven't seen the afters show though, did I miss much?

I watched a previous series that's on All 4 yesterday. It's only two couples and only 4 episodes long. Was that the norm previously? I also notice that the experts encouraged them not to have sex during the experiment, presumably that was because they were actually married and consummating the relationship would mean the marriage couldn't be annulled. Certainly different from their incessant "how's the intimacy going?" of this series. Far less drama. People seemed more genuine.

Looks like even the ixperts doing the matching is a con, which I guess shouldn’t be a surprise. Not seen anyone admit to having anything to do with putting any of the other couples together, can’t say I blame them!

Surely they’ve all split now except Matt & Dan and Adam & Tayah. I think Luke would have been on the afters show if he was still with Morag.

That was due to Covid. Another couple who were due to be filmed met up and now have a baby together.

Yes, they matched 4 couples, 3 of whom are still together (one with a baby), but only 2 were televised due to Covid as Jane says.

Cheers for that, interesting. One of his other posts, about romantic compatibility is worth looking at. You can see most of the couples failing on that basis.

Ugh can’t believe all the couples left opted to stay together in that episode! What a load of rubbish and waste of time.

MAFSUK has been a massive, infuriating waste of time and I have no idea why I got so invested in it! Total tosh. That Afters show (which I only dipped into, I do have some standards) was really low rent TV. This thread, however, has been hugely entertaining!

These couples stay together longer than makes any sense because they are hoping to monetise the opportunity. I find Maz & Frank especially unconvincing. At least Megan refused to play along and compromise her dignity like the others after a while. I don't doubt some of them would like to find someone special but the matches were piss poor. Funnily enough I think Josh and Amy have a real affection but the age gap and her volatility versus his laid back ways dooms it. Morag and Luke - oh come on, kick her to the kerb before all your hair falls out. Tayah & Adam are like a sparkly holiday romance that may not have enough depth to it to last.

The male expert is on the Mafs Lessons podcast. He said that he was very against Ant and Alexis rentering the ixperiment as he didn’t see a spark, but all his comments were edited out.
