The Exceptionally Lovely Tristan wasn't that beefy (not compared to his time on DWTS, anyway). He is now a daytime tv presenter in Australia, having been a judge, alongside Craig, on their version of the show. I read recently that he has a heart condition and has survived two heart attacks. He's still one of my favourite pros in terms of personality, despite not lasting very long on Strictly.

That's a shame about Tom and Amy. I hope they don't suffer too badly with it.

Do we have a list if team names for the couples?

It just occurred to me that Nad is Dan backwards so they could have been team Nathan but they went for Team WalkOva which I rather like.

Amy's insta says she hasn't got symptoms atm, hopefully she will be okay. It's such a strange time - I had bad symptoms and the faintest of lines on a lat test but also three negative tests and then the PCR came back negative so could only put it down to a 'normal' cold and throat virus but knocked me out for a couple of days.
Hopefully Tom can come back week 3 and won't have to withdraw - I would have been amazed had he not gone through in any case. At least he can rest up for a while.

I considered Robin fenella bur didn't think Kai was as bulky.

I liked Tristan too. I also liked Trent, but I think he only did one series.

Skipping a show never works out for the couples. I think it did for Natalie Gumede's momentum. I wonder if the public will be more generous in the time of Covid?

Last year a positive Covid result meant the couple were out - is that not the case this year too?

Or is it different because it's early and weeks 1 and 2 are combined?

I also liked Trent. I know in the recent past he's worked as an assistant creative director under Jason Gilkison. He choreographed the totally camp Bruno Sings! routine.

Contestants have always been allowed to miss one week because of illness/injury/family matters. The length of isolation and timing of when Katja tested positive meant Nicola would have had to have missed two weeks. As isolation is now 10 days and T&A have tested positive the day after a show they should only need to miss one week unless one or both are long term unwell. Presumably as they are both positive they could train together in the isolation period if feeling well enough. Nicola couldn't be moved to another pro because of isolation even though she didn't have covid.

Plus, surely they've both been double vaxxed, so it should be short lived?

I would think if they did this they'd be breaking some rules though surely unless they moved in together and trained in that 'household'.. also if Amy is asymptomatic they might not want to do that due to the viral load incase it then caused her to become symptomatic.
