When Matt and Dan talked about starting a family in 5 or 10 years did they actually say 'adoption'. Maybe they mean a surrogate. Either way, it could take a good few years after starting the process so that ten years could easily turn into fifteen. Can't see Matt being happy with that.

I get the feeling - although he might be a bit of an arse in that he maybe talks to everyone as though they are his joes - I don’t think he is necessarily a wrong ‘un.

I agree that part of the reason Franky is how he is is probably awkwardness/anxiety. I’m not sure that’s the whole reason though.
