Just watching series 1 to get my fix... very different type of people who are clearly on for the right reasons...

I can only remember one of the couples from series 1. They've had a terrible hit-rate on this show. I wonder if a crowd-sourced version would be any better?

I really hate hearing frown adults talk about "dropping the L bomb". Just say "love" FFS. I'm not sure what is is about Morag that Luke loves. He's obviously seeing something very different to what we the viewers are seeing (and yes, I know we only see a tiny amount, but I haven't seen any redeemable qualities yet).

I'm going out on a limb- Fwanky is partly awkward/ socially inept. I work with a very handsome guy a bit like him- no bother finding partners but can't keep hold of them. He's socially sometimes sexist/ inappropriate but I know he isn't really like that, I reckon it's nerves/ thinks that's funny. Just a thought.

Morag is such a self centered cow. It was ALL about what she wants, what she needs, what's right for her. Fair enough, this was her friends and family but it was the same at Luke's house. FFS telling his mum she's not sure about him. You could say at least she's being honest but I think it's more that she's just that self-unaware.

Luke... Luke seems like a nice bloke. But, yeah, the longer he gets led around by Morag the more my patience starts to run out. He seemed to see the light after meeting the friends and her mum but now has gone back to knuckling under. I'm reminded of Friends, when Ross was telling (I think it was Joey) that he and Mona split up "In a way I judge her for not dumping me sooner".

That was the bit that really pissed me off! Why is no one considering Luke’s needs and instead telling him to carry on with someone who doesn’t fancy or have a spark with him? Why do they keep telling Morag to try? It’s because the ixperts don’t want to fail and admit they made shit matches.

I agree Frankie seems a it socially awkward, and he doesn’t really fit in with the rest of the group, but to be fair they most of them are over 20 years younger than him.
Plus it’s a bit awkward for Frankie meeting Maz’s friends, maybe that’s why he came across a bit of a wally?

I’m thinking that Morag chose to live with her Dad as he worshiped and adored his princess rather than with her Mum who set boundaries and consequences.
It may have been edited out of course, but there wasn’t a moment when they spoke on the sofa where Morag actually said I want to make this work with you. She went straight into attack mode when Luke challenged her and made it about her feelings only deigning to say sorry after he did.
Really wish Luke had stuck to his guns and walked. I can see that Morag knows he’s the sort of guy she should be going for and that’s why she’s staying but she also knows that it’d be like being married to her geography teacher and so just can’t!
Only caught the very end of the afters show last night.
