I'm No Nice Snacks Joe this weekend. I am stuck in with a mild cold that isnt COVID but still waiting test result and no Cash money to send anyone out.

Ah I am so sorry... I got my negative back today (speed timing, they only tested yesterday in a walk-in centre). Lurgy definitely going round atm.

I was relieved but at the same time, thinking wtf as I had cold, throat, fever, headache. But I slept for 14 hours which helped and I am going to feed the fever rather than starve the cold
I am looking at my anaemic choc orange and thinking what is the point of you, though. White choc + orange oil = weak normal choc orange.

Its definitely sandpaper throat, it happened overnight and I thought my throat was closing.

Loads of kids at school off sick, some with covid, some heavy colds. Many coughing and spluttering, poor things! My yr11 class is decimated.

There's some boring concert on before Strictly. Surely it should be the law that the lead-in to Strictly is The Hit List or, better still, Pointless Celebrities? Anything else just seems wrong.

Like I would never voluntary watch a full one, but I do enjoy telling Hit List Contestants how shit they are, and why did they even apply when they can't even identify Part Time Lover.

I'm looking forward to seeing Sara and Aljaž. Not sure why particularly, but I like them both and she looked pretty good in the group dance, and their music is good and well-suited to a cha cha.

On my way back from a long day out doing stuff that DS wanted to do, also struggling with the dreaded sandpaper throat and in desperate need of a lemsip. Sprinted for a train just before final whistle because the next one is going to be full of away supporters and made it by the skin of our teeth - ETA back home 18:55.
Sending DH out for pizza and a bottle of red as soon as I'm home. Wouldn't say no to a tiramisu as well tbh - the only thing I've had to eat today is a Pret smoked salmon and egg mini baguette and a custard cream.

(We weren't at the football ourselves you understand - but we were on a train full of relatively sober away supporters on the way up, and were fairly keen to avoid them on the way back).

A custard cream?! One can never only have ONE! Or is that just me? Or do you not mean the biscuit?

I do mean the biscuit yes - there was a plate of biscuits on offer at the venue to have with our tea and I think it would have been bad form to take my usual four.

Hope she does well. She was a first out favourite with bookies, which really surprised me, given she's warm, enthusiastic, from the North East (sociolinguistics, we warm to the accent) and partnered with Aljaz - who still has highest twitter following.
I think they are banking on Ugo's poor form on lateish show being redeemed by Oti (I hope so, as she put her early exit with Anthony due to both being black so would hate for him to go out first unless he is Diarmud/Quentin shocking).
I don't know that Diana Ross track so looking forward to seeing it performed.
Note that she's the only one with a song linked to her job/persona though, unless I am missing a pun. Was amazed with the Gordon VT they didn't have Tilly dancing to Does your Mother know but swapping mother for father unless they're leaving that for movie week

Have heard all the songs now. I like Aretha, but I cannot see an AS to Chain of fools. Hope I'm wrong as wanted Graz to have a better series than early boot.
