Is anyone watching? The 2nd series has probably been a bit more ambling than the first, but so think it is one of the most touching, beautiful and genuine programmes on TV. The father and son theme has been done so well, the examples of healthy, supportive male relationships compared the the effects of toxic ones... I am just in love with it. And Roy Kent BlushBlushBlush

I love it! Really enjoyed the first series but I feel the second series has a lot more depth to it, I’m really liking Jamie Tart this season and I am rooting for the new couple!

WolfFleeceSpotter · 12/09/2021 00:22

I also love it! Roy Kent is such a good character, and such wise words. Love Ted too, of course.

stripedbananas · 12/09/2021 01:06

Love it and the second series is even better.

20thCenturyGhosts · 12/09/2021 07:09

Every episode has such heart to it! I wasn't expecting much at all when I watched the first episode but it gives me such a warm fuzzy feeling!

Love them all, but really hope Nate gets sorted out as he is not in a good place Sad

This week’s actually made me cry. They’ve done it so well. Was that the last episode?

Auroreforet · 12/09/2021 07:17

Love Ted Lasso.

I bet all the English players watch it, especially Roy Keane!

Auroreforet · 12/09/2021 07:20

Who I forgot is Irish.
Sorry Roy!

Thewayshetalks · 13/09/2021 21:08

Showing as another episode Friday, think maybe there is 10 this series

Notaroadrunner · 13/09/2021 21:10

Dh and I watch it. Love it.

Shoxfordian · 15/09/2021 06:58

I love it as well!

NotReallyAPrincess · 15/09/2021 07:28

Adore it. Such a feel good show. Agree about Nate, he’s taken a turn for the shit and I hope he gets the resolution he needs.

JacquelineCarlyle · 18/09/2021 23:08

Love love love it! The Man City episode was just perfect! Not sure about the most recent one though - feel I missed the point of it!

Thewayshetalks · 18/09/2021 23:36

I wasn’t a fan of Fridays episode, all seemed a bit strange and off point

ReginaaPhalange · 25/09/2021 10:08

Sam is wonderful isn't he 😍

Thewayshetalks · 25/09/2021 10:29

Oh indeed he is

JacquelineCarlyle · 25/09/2021 11:28

He really is Grin

UnitedRoad · 26/09/2021 01:22

Oh Ted. I want to bring him home and mother him.

I do really really like Sam but how old’s Rebecca? 50? Surely it could only be a lovely fling.

I hated last Fridays episode, so I was happy it was back to normal this week.

TyneTeas · 26/09/2021 01:26

Apparently it was originally going to be 10 episodes, then they were asked late on to do 12, so there were two 'insert' episodes written, last week's coach beard after dark and the Christmas dinner one iirc

I loved the hula hooping!

JacquelineCarlyle · 26/09/2021 08:47

In real life Rebecca is 44 or 45, not sure how old she's meant to be in the show but I don't think it's 50. When Sam said he was 21 though, I did wince as that's just so young - even if he were 24 or 25 that would be better - still a big age gap, but 21 is still a baby.

UnitedRoad · 27/09/2021 12:54

@JacquelineCarlyle

So she’s my age and he’s my daughters age!! Maybe that’s why it seems a bit grim to me. I know Sams a lot more grown up than the boys (and they do still seem like boys) my daughters bring home, he’s living across the world from his family etc, but even so, the world has completely changed from when I was that age.

I can understand her fancying him, and him her, but she’s a really strong mature woman, and needs a strong man.

Why am I treating them like they’re real people??

UnitedRoad · 27/09/2021 12:58

@TyneTeas that makes complete sense. I didn’t notice it with the Christmas episode (although maybe I should have as it was September) but the Coach Beard episode seemed exactly like a fill in episode.

Has anyone heard if there’ll be a series 3?

superoz · 27/09/2021 13:01

Sam had the best line this week - “I hate big buts and I cannot lie” 😆.
Got to give credit for getting a reference to Sir Mixalot!

Thewayshetalks · 27/09/2021 13:51

Season 3 summer 2022

UnitedRoad · 27/09/2021 14:05

That’s a really long time, but also great news

JacquelineCarlyle · 27/09/2021 17:47

@UnitedRoad I feel like they're real people too! Grin
