I follow The Holborn Rooms on Instagram and they do the most beautiful looking pies which also look like they'd taste amazing. They do Wellington Wednesdays and even though I don't eat beef much, I'd eat one of those quite happily.
I have never, however, found the appeal of a potatoes pie. Potatoes inside pastry? Too much starchyness for me. A local pie to me is Moonraker pie which is a potato and cheese pie.

Our local butchers does pork pie with black pud and onion marmalade. Dh says it’s the bollox.
Well, they do say some butchers like to use every bit of the animal.
