Whoever said the Megan and Bob drama detracted from Marylise and Franky was right.
Id almost forgotten about it. Their interview was awful.
Like she'd been briefed by him that they wouldn't be sharing. Probably out of 'respect' which is what these types always seem to have a massive thing about.

I would LOVE if they brought new couples in like in MAFS Aus, but instead of new couples it was Ant and Alexis, just marching into a dinner party

I am actually worried about marylise, I thought their interview was chilling. He is extremely sinister.

Megan is the double of someone - either that or she's been on something else before too.

The ixperts are doing so much better I'm the commitment ceremony than in Aus. They're actually asking good questions then properly picking apart the answers.

I adore Paul even more than I did before tonight's episode and Afters. Siiiiigh.

Also! When was Afters filmed?? This week or during filming of the show? The logistics don't seem to add up either way.

Horrible Franky looked like he wanted to hurt Mel when she called him out. It's really disturbing. He has a scary habit of holding onto Marylise in a really uncomfortable way too, like he's gripping her to keep her under control. Controlling Mike did the same with Heidi in MAFSAus - he always had his hand around the back of Heidi's neck, that was pretty disturbing too.
I genuinely hope there are panic buttons in those apartments (hotel rooms) because I think Frank could turn very nasty very quickly.

I've binged this and all 3 threads today. Just watching tonight's. Must say, I think Luke is an absolute gem. He's a keeper. It brought a wee tear to my eye seeing him so upset at the things Morag was saying, and his recollection of all the things she has said . She's lucky he's stuck around.

Frankie makes my skin crawl, did from the gecko. That polo neck hasn't helped 🤮

Finally caught up with the episodes and the threads! Loving this show - I've never seen the Australian one so have nothing to compare to.

Agree with all the comments - Jordon horrible and he only told the truth about Megan as he was very angry as he felt she mugged him off so was making sure to get his own back on her. Loved the experts calling out his aggression & really hope that they bring Alexis and Ant back in as a couple.

Bob seems a sweetheart but he'd be too much for me - he'd drive me crazy and I fear I'd be just like Megan (albeit wouldn't touch Jordon with a barge pole!)

The rest are all a bit meh, but will be interested to see how it pans out.

How does this show work? Do they get voted out or only leave when they choose to as happened tonight? How is the winner decided? What do the winners get? How long does the show last?

Also, why are they referred to as ixperts on the thread?

Just watched tonight's episode. That did not play out how I thought it would. So many couples gone in one episode! I presumed the unhappier couples drama would be dragged out a while, leading up to kissing someone else's husband/wife off camera but no, all done and dusted and out in the open by episode eight.

So what now? Agree that Franky has a sinister energy and as blue as his eyes may be, they are very cold. He's quite monotone and shows little emotion which doesn't help.

I wonder if they will bring Ant and Alexis back to give it a go as a couple, seeing as Ant's time was cut short through no fault of his own? Not that I think it would work mind you.

It was the way she always looked at him before she spoke (and mostly didn't speak) that bothered me.

If the show is going to be the same as the Australian version it will last what seems like 4 years when it could have been condensed into a much shorter show.

Agreed that Maralyse already seems to need Franky's permission to speak and he's physically gripping her in a way that is about control, not romance. I'm glad the ixperts saw it, but at what point will they intervene? They can't sincerely think this is good for her?

About Wanky Franky, I felt a bit ragey about this. It was good that the blonde expert brought up the control thing but they bloomin well handpicked him for her!!! Someone dominant and controlling who also lives in another country whilst she has children and has a really wanky way of phrasing things I feel they’ve massively set her up. But will be interesting to see what unfolds. I suspect he will behave very well on camera. But he makes my skin crawl.

The only reason Franky didn’t answer their questions on intimacy was because he is embarrassed and it’ll knock his ego to admit he is on the sofa, nothing to do with respect.
It does make me laugh though, gives the big man persona whilst falling into the lake, the same as the loudest in a meeting, lots to say but of no substance.

Frankie should never have been selected for the show basically. Anyone with half an instinct gets troubling controlling vibes from him instantly. What was the production team thinking?
