LanieM87 · 07/09/2021 21:09

It's in Leeds @JaninaDuszejko

grafittiartist · 07/09/2021 21:10

I'd live to know the previous owners of my house.

I live in a new build @grafittiartist 🙈 not much mystery here.

marypoppinsreturns · 07/09/2021 21:16

Just noticed right before it started that this was on. I loved the last series. 'Who do you think you are' for houses- so interesting.

veneeroftheweek · 07/09/2021 21:30

One of my favourites too. I'd love to research the history of my house.

GreyhoundG1rl · 07/09/2021 21:31

Oh, lovely. I love these!

veneeroftheweek · 07/09/2021 21:33

The houses are always so lovely too!

SpittinKitten · 07/09/2021 21:35

I've looked into the history of mine a little - our street was the local "millionaire's row" when it was built in the mid 1800s; according to records, at one point my house contained both a vicar and a leather merchant Hmm Grin

grafittiartist · 07/09/2021 21:36

LanieM ha!!!

Oh, that sounds fascinating. I'd love to do that.
mogtheexcellent · 07/09/2021 21:40

I research historic buildings for a living. I bloody love it. Currently researching a 19thc pub.

Thanks for the heads up on the new series. Hes such a good presenter.

mogtheexcellent · 07/09/2021 21:41

@LanieM87

The land your home is on could be intetesting though... Smile

Warmduscher · 07/09/2021 21:45

It’s Headingley with an “e”.

I know, I’m pedantic but I live here!

grafittiartist · 07/09/2021 21:59

Warm- I apologise!! I added it and removed it about 3 times!!

My house is only 30 years old so I love old houses as mine isn’t very interesting. I do know that it used to be a farmyard, the original farmhouse is next to us. That’s about it. Grin

MissMarpleRocks · 07/09/2021 22:25

Love this program. Very happy to have Leeds featured. Lived in Headingley when I was a student 35+ years ago. My heart is still there.

Me too - loved it so much I moved 200 miles back here in May of this year Smile
SamanthaJayne4 · 07/09/2021 22:35

I also like this programme. I wondered whether they have a back garden as they had a small greenhouse in the front garden. Lovely house.

GreySweater · 07/09/2021 22:41

Ooh I look forward to catching up on this. I also lived in Headingley as a student (in a house a few roads away from the one featured and very similar). About 25 years ago! Love this series anyway and a massive fan of David Olusoga

Anystarinthesky · 08/09/2021 02:32

Such a fascinating programme, I really enjoy it.

SpittinKitten · 08/09/2021 15:59

I love that this thread contains a lot of current and former LS6 posters Grin

I used to live round the corner too, on Cliff Road in a little annexe in our landlords garden, accessed through a garage door in a converted stable block.. Quirky doesn't even begin to describe it.

All the info I found about where I live now (still Leeds, just not Headingley) was online, I got it just by googling my address and scrollingpast all the rightmove etc results. I've been meaning for years to burrow in the physical census records etc, I think i might put that on this month's to do list.
There's the Leodis archives as well, which are brilliant- www.leodis.net/

@mogtheexcellent I am in absolute envy of your job!

Got distracted through most of last night's screening, going to catch up and watch properly later Smile
