So what's your LEAST favourite episode of Friends?

Seeing as the friends love episode is blossoming.......

Any worst episode? Worst scenes? Worst characters?

My least favourite season is the one after Ross say Rachel at the altar. The whole season just seems tainted by both him and her going slightly bonkers/ off the rails.

I didnt love the weird layout issues with Ross' apartment and hallway (the kitchen goes into the blocks hallway?!)

Cant think of a cameo I didnt like, I know Brad Pitt wasnt universally loved.

I always skip the flashback ones. Not the ones that flashback to pre-TV show, but the ones that flashback to earlier parts in the series. Feels lazy.

The One with the Fake Monica. I've just never liked it - as if you'd befriend the person who was stealing from you?!

So many of them, but all the flashbacks are awful and unwatchable. Fat Monica isn't funny. And not the point, but she isn't even that fat!

The hand twin thing was just stupid, the whole Joey and Rachel storyline was awful, and ‘I got off the plane’ always really disappointed me. Rachel and Ross should have stayed in the past.

Least favourite was Rachel 's date with Joshua. Where she wore a neglige to meet his parents.

The other Joshua one where Emily is going away and Rachel throws a party and wears the cheer leader outfit.

The whole of the last series really was awful.

Hated Rachel's relationship with Joey so probably that Kujo episode which ends with him saying he's terrified, or the one where they try to have sex.

Ross and Charlie were hideous so hated the Jamaica double episode, see also Monica's stupid hair.

Didn't like the surrogate episodes but can't think of a specific one.

I hated the "the cleaner stole my jeans/bra" story line. Really naff.

Love Friends. Can't stand the episode where Rachel and Joey (don't) get it on- I think this was my very first experience of The Ick (and I'm a BIG fan of Matt Leblanc! Luckily he's been saved by his silver fox years 😉)

The One Where Joey Speaks French. I really feel that they “dumbed down” his character in the later seasons. Nobody could believe he thought he was imitating Phoebe when she was teaching him the language.

Yes! I said pretty much exactly this on the favourite episode thread earlier.

Not an episode as such, but I thought Phoebe became a lot harder and more unpleasant as the series went on, I preferred her as the gentle dippy hippy of the early series.

Was just coming on again to say that - Monica tries to see the crotch of the jeans that the cleaner is wearing to see if there is a stain, to prove that the cleaner has stolen her jeans? Just weird!

The surrogate! I’d forgotten her. Who could be so clueless that they didn’t explicitly know they were expecting twins? It was in about 2003 not 1903, pretty sure she’d have had a good look at her two babies on scans and things. At one point she says something like ‘when they mentioned two heartbeats I thought they meant mine and the baby’s!’

When they were all saying how gross it was that Ben was breastfed and how unimaginable breastfeeding was, I didn't even breastfeed either of mine and it was years before I had kids but I was like what is wrong with a woman feeding her baby from the body she just grew it from?!

I don’t remember that at all. I remember them taking the mickey out of Ross for thinking Carol’s breast milk was gross, but no real anti-breastfeeding messages otherwise.

Same - Ross didnt want to taste it, but everyone else was very pro.

Totally agree - really didn't like her by the end of the series. The quirky thing could be a bit irritating (especially the mother/cat episode) but she was just out and out bitchy by the end.

The flashback episodes are just a way of making a cheaper episode. Remember, in those days we didn’t get to watch it on repeat all day every day, you had to wait for a new episode on a Friday night, unless you had the VHS 😂, so they would have seemed less tedious.

Rachel and Joey is my least favourite story line.

Yep the whole twins via the surrogate was stupid.

Phoebe having a positive pg test a couple hrs after implantation.

Phoebe's straight forward vaginal birth to triplets like they were on a conveyor belt queue and her brother made me cringe during the birth too. And the Fonz loving Dr.

Joey needing a foreskin for a movie part as his character hadn't been circumcised and Monica was helping him with materials to fake one? Wtf?!

Hated that passive aggressive smart arse Charlie as well, oh and Cathy, she acted like a snob and squirmed at chandler watching Baywatch yet she had a love triangle and jumped straight into bed with her colleague as soon as she has a barney with Chandler?!

The couple episodes with Paolo, he was such a creep.

Monica taking over Phoebe’s wedding was a bad one. Even worse that after Phoebe (quite rightly) told her to back off she was seemingly willing to let things fall apart until she got an apology

Any of the episodes with Elle McPhearson in, she is so awful! Her character, her accent, her acting !!!

I’m not sure you can legitimately call it acting...

The one where they do the lottery. Boring and unfunny, and Monica keeping tickets for herself made her seem like a horrible friend.

I'm not keen on the ones with Elizabeth in. Didn't like her.

It went massively downhill around series five or six I think.

Yes it was getting very tired by that stage. Still moments of greatness but quite a lot of filler dross...but by that time they were like comfortable old friends (see what I did there) and it didn’t matter so much to me that it wasn’t always on point.

Any with Ursula in. Gives me the creeps.

If I had to choose a least favourite episode it would be the One Where No-One is Ready (where they're all in the apartment trying to get ready for some talk thing Ross is doing)
bit boring, not much going on compared to the other episodes lol.
Not really any side stories of anyone else going on.
Fun fact - the reason why Joey is wearing a sling in the One With All the Jam, it wasn't because he'd been jumping on the bed, Matt Le Blanc had hurt himself leaping into the chair during the whole "my chair" thing with Chandler in the One where No-one's Ready" episode and they had to write it into the series.
