My children completely get that you date (both open to dating others) go exclusive and then decide whether to be girlfriend/ boyfriend.

Yes my sisters done exclusive with guys she’s dating but not boyfriend/girlfriend, I find it exhausting tbh, making someone your girlfriend is a big deal for the younger generation these days probably why Jake is going on like he’s done something amazing 😏

Some of them are not even that much younger than me, I'm 30 and I've checked a few of them are like 26, 27 and I have never heard of this exclusive thing. I mean I've heard the term used on US TV shows but I always thought that just meant bf gf. Am reading these comments like... what's the point of exclusive? It's just a cop out??

I guess I'd be considered over the hill though for love island 🤣

It seems like a much smaller outside set.. but larger inside set... with what seems like lot more people.... there's a fantastic mix of people too...

I think love island USA is a bit lighter tone. I’ve watched the first 2 series. I think they’re filing series 3 atm but I expect it’s not available in the U.K. yet? I’ve not seen it anywhere

I noticed in the beach club dumping Teddy and Faye were standing together in the couples line up and he had his hand around her waist.

I noticed this - if she was still at the stage of disliking him (understatement) then I would have expected different body language. She seemed content to stand close to him and to have his hand on her body. Makes me think that it's all just an act, and they forgot the script for a while ...

But if you aren't interested in seeing other people and are 'exclusive' surely that means you are in a relationship and are boyfriend and girlfriend. I too am old and remember it was so much easier when I was young
