I think they're just random episodes @bizzey so don't get too attached! It's only for this week. I missed them myself!

I've just noticed these classic 50 episodes on BritBox so will be watching as soon as I can.

The old old episodes are on itv.com, old head Jack definitely not as appealing as new head Jack.
As they're only random episodes I googled the storyline, can't believe how much subsidence there was in the area 😂
Yorkshire farmers and their wives have this reputation of being strong and stoic, so how come we've had whiney Elsa, moaning Cathy and screechy Katie (and Nick moaned a lot too, is he still in prison)
Glynis is awful, almost feel sorry for Eric! Do we ever see David's mum on screen?

I used to watch the old Emmerdale Farm at lunchtimes when I was home from school but seeing them again, they're so dull and boring, I'm amazed it reached its 20th anniversary, let alone 50th!

Was funny watching Marlon buy the wedding dress his future future wife was modelling for his future wife

I do enjoy watching classic when you know what is to come for them in later years.

I'm working my way through the classic, classic 50 episodes and you're right, they're so dull.
If these were the best episodes from each year, dear god how awful must all the others have been.
It's all so slow.
I can't believe people continued to watch.
But I guess they had different expectations back in the 70s.

Watching the anniversary episodes and the doctor talking about Trisha turns up as the QC in Zoe's court case in the next episode

Ooh it's the "live" episode tonight. Yay!

I was all confused there but realised you're talking about the special anniversary old episodes. I gave up after a couple of the very early ones as they were so dire.

That was great. They did such a brilliant job of the live.

So was Chas's wedding an actual live filmed episode? If yes then this was well before the Corrie ones?
