I thought Al knocked Chas back? It's such rubbish I can't honestly remember . I can remember her offering herself to a man who turned her down and Paddy was lurking (as somebody always seems to be).

I don't watch any of the other soaps but just wondering if their storylines are made up of continual eavesdropping and lurking too.

Ye I think RaraRacel is right, she was following him around flirting with him and he knocked her back, why he wants to buy into the pub is anyone's guess but maybe it's to get to Marlon, he got his wife and now wants his business.

I had a binge catch-up yesterday after a couple of weeks - I won’t bore you with all my thoughts on the last fortnight, but as soon as I knew there was no body, I knew we were in for another ‘faked his own death’ or similar storyline. Haven’t we had enough of those?

I also think Marlon was an unholy arse to Rhona - and the idea that the police would bother pressing charges against one woman pushing another over when they were rowing about one stepdaughter bullying the other is ridiculous. It would have been a ten-minute chat at worst.

I don’t really get the Harriet storyline either. Wasn’t Charles meant to be overseeing a few different parishes? Why is he doing everything? And surely Harriet is too old to return to the police? She seems to have been in her mid to late forties for about 12 years!

Also, maybe it’s because I’m watching Classic Emmerdale (and am miles behind), but I did have a wild idea that ‘J’ could be Jan Glover

Noticed that the 'bundles of banknotes in large manilla envelope' trope reared its tired head again a couple of times in recent weeks. What do people do with all this cash? If it's dodgy, which it always is, you won't want a paper trail. Go to Tesco a lot? Bookies every day till you lose it all?

And if Jamie has nicked all the vet surgery money he must have...what? Stashed it in the bole of a tree together with a change of clothes? Is he lying low in a Travelodge?

Al really does have thick skin doesn't he. Noone likes him, no-one wants to work with him, even his own son prefers the village idiot over his own dad and yet Al still sticks around like a bad smell. He must have some almighty plan up his sleeve to be so smug.

I hope it’s not another tedious redevelopment storyline, in the style of the Corrie plot last year. I can’t be doing with weeks/months of ‘Save The Woolpack!’ when we all know there is zero possibility of the producers getting rid of one of the show’s most famous locations.
