In all honesty, I think the producers need to protect the one Black woman in the villa, for the sake of a diverse cast.

Are you having an actual laugh? Why should anyone be protected just for the sake of diversity? 4 of the OG boys are black. In the same vein, should the producers force some new islanders into the villa to balance the fact that there are only 2 non- Southerners out of 14 in the OG group?

To clarify, there are more Scottish women in the UK (4.2%) than black women (1.8%). You can make a point about any specific group. And I say that as a Scottish woman with mixed heritage.

Millie is beautiful and classy. Lillie isnt that pretty and looks like any girl youd see in a nightclub in any town in the country. Liam is going to regret his behaviour even if its just that he wants to win . That wibt happen. I hope Millie couples with Sam and they win . Im backing him as he lives near me!

Greg was in the girls part of the casa amor time and he won it with amber.. only because it was a millie/Liam situation and the public’s rage for what Michael did bringing someone else back spurred them on to vote amber to the end 😂 Millie could be another Amber

Greg wasn’t in Casa Amor. He didn’t come in until a week or so after the villa was back together.

@puffalicious Representation on shows like Love Island is incredibly important. If society is genuinely going to change, yes, the Black women need to be protected as we know that Love Island has historically had an issue with this aspect of casting.

The only Black guy in the original cast was Aaron and Black men are treated totally different on the show. There are also a fair few Black and mixed race men in the show now so one going wouldn't remove this representation.

Yes but do you think producers purposefully keeping kaz in is going to do anything positive? Its just condescending. Love Island just amplifies issues a lot of black women (myself included) face, and pulling the strings on a gameshow isn't going to change that, but make it worse. Looking at society proportionately the % of black contestants is higher than in the general population, which is good, but artificially engineering the outcome would be crap. Has there ever been an Asian contestant?
