OP posts:

I think Lucinda is super pretty in a young and childlike way. To me, women are stunning and girls are pretty.

PumpkinKlNG · 26/07/2021 15:28

She is a woman. She’s 21

Bluntness100 · 26/07/2021 15:37

@DanniDuck, you do seem angry that people think Lucinda is pretty or beautiful. Is there a back story here? It reads like bitter/envy. It’s hard to understand where you’re coming from, as your posts aren’t just “don’t see it myself” they are harsh and abrasive.

Nonsense, firstly Lucinda is a woman, and secondly plenty of women are pretty, and described as such. Stunning and pretty are different things but not related to adult/child.
MummyJ12 · 26/07/2021 15:56

Hey, just my opinion. She doesn’t behave or look like a woman or anywhere near 21. She is very pretty though……wishing her all the best now she’s on the outside.

QueenBee52 · 26/07/2021 16:05

@AuntieStella

This shows exactly why I don't normally engage with this sort of stuff.

No I'm not going to plough back through 6 threads to find all the examples for you, so you can decide if my view is worthy. Let's keep it light, and agree to disagree, rather than expect action?

Okay you are seriously RUDE .,.

and I was genuinely asking a question... but judging by your attitude it's no wonder you get into scrapes ...

Jeeeeeepers

MamaRaisingBoys · 26/07/2021 16:19

Watching the videos of all the Casa Amor ones going in on Twitter, they all seem more interesting than the current lot! Stuff splitting anyone up, let’s just have all the new housemates in the new villa and start over, got to be better than the shit show we have at the moment

We thought this too 🤣

I think her speech delivery is unfortunate, but she’s clearly a young adult woman, she doesn’t act like a child. In fact I’d say compared to some of the behaviour I’ve seen she behaves more maturely than others, she’s not screaming abuse, being bitchy etc, which I personality perceive as immature.
MummyJ12 · 26/07/2021 16:37

Maybe it’s because she looks just like my 8yr old dd’s best friend who is also 8?!!
Or maybe it’s because I’m ancient 😂
As previous posters have pointed out, Lucinda is one year older than Molly Mae was when she was in LI but she seems so much younger, especially when she was sat having her plaits done by Millie, who was definitely big sis to her in there.
It’s not a criticism to be young and innocent. There’s absolutely nothing wrong with her behaviour but she seems young for a 21 year old is all I think.

AuntieStella · 26/07/2021 16:53

Thank you for your kind comment.

I'll bow out, for reasons which should be pretty obvious

desperatehousewife21 · 26/07/2021 16:54

Bleugh I hated the ‘we’re in’ by Abi during the fire pit dumping, so arrogant!! You’re only safe because you’re new, not cos anyone likes you and Toby!!

Casa Amor will be a good diversion but like pp have said, they know it’s coming, it’s all got v predictable and they’re only in to get famous. Think LI has had its day. The general format works, singletons on an island, doing challenges and coupling up etc but the show itself needs to either be massively shaken up or sacked off altogether. Esp as we have similar shows which are ten times more interesting like ‘too hot to handle’ etc etc

MrsHastingslikethebattle · 26/07/2021 17:06

@PeteWicksSexyPirate

I don’t see why they dumped a couple the night before Casa Amor, surely it would of been good to see if Lucindas head was turned! It’s a shame Aaron’s gone as I think he was a good character in there, he was mates with everyone
My thoughts exactly!

Does anyone know 100% if she has got a boyfriend?

They all go in there to up their profiles but yet it seems like Lucinda is the only one who's getting shit for it.

Yes, I was thinking the same thing.

Whatever people on this thread say. Most people would indeed consider Lucinda stunning. And I'm sure she turns a lot of heads walking down the street, that's for sure.

Monestera · 26/07/2021 17:17

Lucinda is stunningly beautiful, and more in a girl-next-door way than glamour model.

Monestera · 26/07/2021 17:20

Next year they should recruit for the Raunchiest Love Island Yet!!!.

And then reveal that it's actually Too Hot To Handle.

Pinkdelight3 · 26/07/2021 17:22

That's only the case if you've been watching all along though. We only started watching last season so it's less predictable for us and we're enjoying it. And as I think it's core audience is fairly young then there must be plenty of new viewers coming through who haven't seen all the previous seasons. Obviously there's a range and some will be bored if they've seen it a lot before but that's the same for any format. With overseas holidays so rare at the mo, it feels like a breath of fresh air here!

spookycookies · 26/07/2021 17:26

Why haven't they done tweets or headlines yet??

Bluntness100 · 26/07/2021 17:31

Wonder why first look is getting so late now.

I do think they should do love island with an older demographic, thirties, forties, fifties, I reckon it would get a shit lot of viewers. They seem too focused on the youth demographic, with the contestants, adverts etc, where as they could defo widen that audience hugely.

MummyJ12 · 26/07/2021 17:42

Totally agree @Bluntness100

They wouldn't get the sponsorship deals. And despite what this thread looks like the most people who watch are younger I doubt it would get the viewers you think.
Noterook · 26/07/2021 17:50

A lot of younger people are actually widely critical of it now, let's say generation z even though I hate the term. Social media is often awash with them picking it apart, and I know that doesn't represent all, but I'd say viewers are now more of a mix. Brands like misguided and whatever don't really need the exposure, their target market know about them; I do think one with people in their 30s plus would be good, even if it was a shorter one. I think if if stays as is it probably won't be about much longer.

I think pinkdelight meant that the contestants are too aware of whatss going to happen. They all know the format so are preparing for each 'surprise'

Like Jake securing Liberty. He'll know that casa amore is soon, and wanted to lock that in. And they all seem a bit too scared to properly graft after someone else when in a couple, or go ater someone already in a couple, as they are too scared to be 'the bad guy' when they come out. Which then results in a pretty boring watch.

l2b2 · 26/07/2021 17:57

I wish Lucinda well too. She's got a lovely sweet face and came across like a nice person.

Well, yeah. That's why I'm a bit uncomfortable with all the Toby hate. Yes, he's immature and gone about things the wrong way, but FFS isn't the drama what we're after? Bloody Hugo needs to go. Why is he even in there?🤔
