Hugo is NOT a nice guy. I'm baffled why everyone seems to think he has good morals - it's conflating him not getting girls, with being a good person. He dumped Sharon twice when she tried to get to know him, and gave AJ the good chat to make her believe he fancied her, then lost interest immediately. He is annoyed because AJ picking him means he now needs to make an effort with her which he doesn't want to do(he doesn't fancy her at all). And risks looking a dick when a new girl he fancies more shows up. His behaviour with AJ was RUDE - just like he was with Sharon when coupled up. Almost like girls not attractive enough for him don't deserve any courtesy.
