@AuntieStella Jake and another were discussing that AJ is very touchy feely and touches people's legs. Jake indicated, by poking out his shorts, that if she touched his legs he'd get an erection.

I think Hugo friend zoned Sharon because he just doesn’t fancy her, in both personality and looks.

I disagree he doesn’t fancy aj, I think he does and sees her as some form of prize, but she’s out of his league and he’s intimidated, that’s why he didn’t kiss her, he was just too intimidated and scared she’d reject him. Aj would never go near him on th outside and he knows it.

Part of me does think that he was thinking he had a great chance with Aj and that’s why he was so blunt with Sharon though.

Ajs going after teddy and fayes got some trouble coming her way. I suspect she’s befriending aj so quickly in an attempt to stop it happening, girl code sort of thing,

Its all very strange this year more Big Brother than L I. Too many friendship couples just to stay in, all wanting their 5 mins of fame. Kaz, Sharon and Hugo need to go now. Off they trot. Danny's type apparently is Lucinda. We need someone to cause some drama.

I’ve gone off Hugo. I was a huge Dr Alex fan and i had kind of aligned Hugo with him in my head but I think Alex was nicer and more genuine. Hugo is intense and has incel vibes.

I worry for Faye. I feel like she’s one of those people who uses a big personality to cover real vulnerability.

Though Faye's comment to Lucinda and Millie 'I was more worried about you two coming in' was a bit of a backhanded compliment. Did anyone else pick up on that?

I thought it was just a compliment? Where's the backhanded bit? It is a game so the other girls are their competition, I'd be more worried by Millie and Lucinda too as I think on looks alone they outshine AJ.

I agree, I think she’s really vulnerable and insecure and she plays like she’s tough and doesn’t give a shit,

Sharon on the other hand does have a hard Exterior, and I don’t think she’s remotely vulnerable or insecure. Which of course is a positive but she seems to lack warmth,, but does have compassion.

Hugo is just going to crack on with anything g that walks in now out of desperation like dr Alex before him. Shazza wouldn't look twice in the real world tbh she's just panicking. Aj is not 28 I'd say 40 which isn't an issue but why lie?
I sound horrible but she isn't pretty at all. She's seems very mature when you put her against lucindas chat Lucinda sounds about 12.

This is a weird season no real characters no bromances, just fake boring bitches at least the bitches from previous series were likeable to. Liberty's nice.

I think Hugo goes for girls better looking than he is. High standards. And into fitness probably.

I suspect in real life he lacks confidence with women, he’s only going after better looking women in there.

I have to say I’m not warming to him either.

Chloe's accent was very Bridget Jones at the start, especially on the phone call she made at the beginning. It see saws between that, MIC and TOWIE. I wonder if she was going for the 'posh totty' angle.

I just read a tweet that the biggest takeaway from this years season of Love Island is that several surgeons need to stand trial.

I hate to disparage anyone's looks. Every single woman in there is beautiful. It is so saddening to see how naturally beautiful young women are almost disfiguring themselves with cosmetic procedures to get the perfect 'Instagram Face' and desired body.

The narrative really has to change. The likes of the Kardashians have so much to answer for, creating a generation of young women who aspire to look like cartoon characters.

Hugo doesn’t fancy Sharon because she’s ‘fake’, he’s already admitted this is his biggest turn off. I’m with @Unrivaled but we need to think about what we are all contributing to make young women feel like this. The media/marketing/ tv shows are all compounding this beauty ‘ideal’ . No idea why a 20 year old would even contemplate Botox. Something is very wrong somewhere.

This isn't a comment on any of the LI girls' looks specifically but I think one of the main problems with these injectables and similar is that it isn't surgeons or similar performing the treatments, it's pretty unregulated. I understand that (in the UK at least) there isn't any formal qualification or registration needed to provide botox or similar meaning that people with minimal to no understanding of physiology could be doing it which could be why you see so many botch jobs or heavy handed usages.

I think that should change. I know fillers can in theory be dissolved but Faye said that she had her lips dissolved and they looked like an 'old man's bollocks', meaning that she's left needing to upkeep that level of filler at such a young age.

I don't like Hugo. I haven't liked him since him calling people fake. I agree with those who mentioned incel vibes.

Sharon comes across as sulky and hard work.

@SugarbabyMilly I didn’t know this term until fairly recently, but this perfectly described my brother who is also hostile towards women in the way he talks about them. I do think Hugo is just out of his depth though.

AJ looked like one of the girls mums when they were all dancing in the dressing room about Kaz date

I think it's just as ok for someone to say they like 'not fake' when asked their preferences, jus as it would be ok for somone tosay 'no tattoos' or 'no piercing except earlobes'

He's with Sharon as a gestate of goodwill to a mate to keep her in the villa. It's perfectly clear he saw this as a friends couple, and Sharon trying to see if it could be anything else was always on a hiding to nowhere.

I think he looks out of his depth - very easily thrown off kilter, very unsure of himself round someone he maybe likes.

If the producers are showing time with AJ it's because that's the 'new girl' storyline the think the viewers are interested in, and if Hugo had been stringing Sharon along at the same time then that could have been stoked. But he played it straight as friends with Shazza and either doesn't fancy AJ either or has detected that she doesn't fancy him (that's when he gets that 'stopped clock' look on his face)

Yeah I saw about Danny on twitter, I think they'll probably remove him from the show to be honest, otherwise the backlash won't do them any favours in what is already probably seen as the worst season so far.

Hugo had loads of photos on his Instagram with him and his recent (as in them together a few months ago) girlfriend but they've all been taken down, no doubt they don't fit his oh I'm so shy and rubbish with women.

I can't believe the producers don't check for this stuff!

Exactly, they clearly don’t bother to check, probably been told to pick kaz as well as Lucinda is his type apparently but he likes kaz for her personality 🙄
