Who doesn’t have the teeniest tiniest interest in the football this evening? Not any any anything at all…..

Yes 😁

Howcanthisbe123 · 11/07/2021 18:28

Yes

Sunny4876 · 11/07/2021 18:28

No,I've had no interest at all from the beginning.

HollowTalk · 11/07/2021 18:28

No, I'm the same! Home alone and won't be watching it. I hope they win, obviously, but it doesn't interest me at all.

PRabbit · 11/07/2021 18:29

I’m not interested either. I’m having pizza and movie night with my mum. Hoping the selfish neighbours don’t make too much noise and wake up my DC.

Bargebill19 · 11/07/2021 18:29

No.!!
Dh has gone to bed - midnight shift at work.
I’m off to do a full night shift and fully plan to be doing anything other than keep up with the football. As I’m one of 5 in a huge warehouse should be difficult to achieve!!

Bargebill19 · 11/07/2021 18:30

Shouldn’t be

PRabbit · 11/07/2021 18:31

I hope they win, obviously
I hope they don’t win. If they do there’ll be a lot of yobbish behaviour and violence across the country, and selfish people will get excited and probably make noise late into the night. If they lose then everyone will be dejected and probably go to bed quietly.

lolacola77 · 11/07/2021 18:31

Why do you have to declare it? I'm sure lots of people aren't bothered.

PhilCornwall1 · 11/07/2021 18:32

No, you aren't on you're own. We will be hitting the planner for our evening viewing.

I think there will be yobbish behaviour either way.

Unlikely, I'm sure some will kick off.
Chemenger · 11/07/2021 18:33

I’m not interested at all. I wish them well but I’d rather stick pins in my eyes than watch football of any description.

Izzy24 · 11/07/2021 18:35

Glad I’m not the only one 😊

I very much doubt that. Domestic violence goes up by similar amounts wether teams win or lose.

I am not watching it op, but only because I need to leave the house at 3.30am Sad

Terrazzo · 11/07/2021 18:36

No I fucking hate it. Pictures from Leicester Square this afternoon are absolutely disgraceful and the match hasn’t even started yet! I want Italy to win except not really, because then our domestic violence rates will skyrocket. The booing, the spitting, the fake rolling around, the squaring up the referee I saw during some other match this week. The whole thing is just revolting. So I suppose i do have an interest, but to the opposite end 😄

HollowTalk · 11/07/2021 18:37

There'll be more violence if they lose than if they win.

NothingEverChangesButTheShoes · 11/07/2021 18:42

I am not interested in the slightest. DH prefers club football but is watching out of interest. However, DD is only six and is so invested in the whole thing. They've been pushing it at school, I suppose because it has been a horrible year with very little fun to be had. I am not sure that I agree with pitting nations against each other at primary level tbh, but they mean well.

JamieFrasersBigSwingingKilt · 11/07/2021 18:45

I have absolutely no interest whatsoever. I'm sitting next to my DH right now watching the match preamble (Mumsnetting) to keep him company. I've avoided all the games so far but feel sorry for him that otherwise he's watching it all by himself. He knows this is a hugely selfless act from me and proves how much I love him. I've told him! Grin

TakeYourFinalPosition · 11/07/2021 18:48

If they lose then everyone will be dejected and probably go to bed quietly.

Not a chance. There will be more violence if they lose - against each other, Italy fans, things. Drunken angry people are worse than drunken happy people. The DV stats are worse after a loss, too, although horrific either way.

I love it, but am watching it at home with my husband… the pubs and live scenes from Wembley and fan zones etc look crazy, and so busy. It won’t do our Covid numbers any good…

But it’ll happen; whoever wins, and I hope we pull it off. This team deserve it.

TakeYourFinalPosition · 11/07/2021 18:50

I do think it’s pretty unnecessary for ITV & the BBC to have the final - it’s pretty unfair on people who don’t really want to watch it.

MIL pretends to enjoy it and will call after each goal if we score, but you can see that shes miserable watching it, and she’s got no interest it… She’ll watch it because FIL will, but there’ll be other people who don’t want to watch it and should have other options (even if they don’t have Netflix etc)

Katefoster · 11/07/2021 18:51

I couldn't care less. Be glad when it's over

TigersandTeddybears · 11/07/2021 18:58

I hopefully they win but mostly because of the domestic violence statistics if they don't and because I could do without a mass sulking event

Thewinterofdiscontent · 11/07/2021 19:06

No interest here.
I’m a rugby fan and football is soooo slow and tedious by comparison. Literally nothing happens until someone gets it in the net. That’s the whole game - get in the net, stop it going in the net. No wonder the fans resort to kicking off.

And 20 minutes longer ….yawn.

Neondisco · 11/07/2021 19:09

Of course you're not.
