I can't believe how empty Court 1 is. This is a quarter final with 3 Brits playing. It's only 8pm. When I go to Wimbledon, I don't leave until there is no play anywhere!

Morning all! Looking forward to the matches later - I should hopefully be able to watch both of them. Hoping for a Shapovalov/Berrettini final but think Djok mught have something to say about that . At least hope that Denis gives him a tough match.

Fed up of all the football talk already - don’t they realise it’s Wimbledon finals weekend? (I realise I might be in a minority compared to the rest of the country!)

Fizzy I am very fed up with the football talk. I cannot believe the suggestion of bank holidays and mornings off due to it.

I got letters about DD1's attendance when she was actually ill from school - despite all the isolations she has had when she hasn't been ill. If I find out they are closing school because football- I will be writing to the bloody governors. (Dh is lucky he is no longer one of them).

When people at work are going on about football I try to introduce some tennis chat - they were slightly interested when Murray was still in but not any more!

I just find football quite boring

It is all a bit ridiculous - I hope England win and I can understand people being hungover and tired on Monday, but closing schools and giving bank holidays is ridiculous! Not that I’ll complain if I do get a day off mind

Going back to the terrible film, that I know you really like Jane , one of the things I found really crap about it, is Peter Fleming is famously really tall (compared to players of his day). Not so much now, when all the players are tall.

My brother did go to school with Gareth Southgate and play football with him but I really don't care about any of it!

Afternoon all, dd hasn't been well so I've missed most of Wimbledon this year - but looking forward to watching the semis today - I'm firmly in the 'anyone but Djokovic' can win camp

Dh is miffed about football because (thanks to this weeks isolations at dd1's school) the match he has planned for tomorrow is up in the air, and he has had to scrape together a whole new team . (His goal keeper is out of action- and he only has 1).

I don't don't care if Father Christmas the Line Judge wins on Sunday- so long as it isn't Djok.
